Story
Hi! My name is Tucker! Please read my bio below! Weight and Age: I am 75 pounds and am approximately 2 years old. Background: I was pulled by the rescue from a kill shelter here in Houston after several of the volunteers had seen a posting on the shelter site asking for a rescue to commit to me. I had been picked up by animal control and I am now in a loving foster home with another dog and am loving it! Medical Status: I will be neutered, micro-chipped, up to date on shots, and current on heartworm and flea preventatives. I have no other health issues and am heart worm negative. YAY! Activity level: I am pretty active since I'm still young and love to play with my friends (human and dog alike)! Potty Training/Crate Training: I am crate trained and learning potty training from my foster mom! Other Animals: Loves other dogs but vocalizes when playing so if another dog is reactive they may not like him. Not a fan of cats. Special Needs: I was very skinny when I was found and can have some food aggression with bones and my food bowl. I'm fine when my foster mom is near my bowl but I don't like it when another dog comes close so I eat in my kennel and then there's no problem! Location: Houston, TX but I'm available for out of state adoptions! If you have any questions please email my foster mom at nicole.whar94@yahoo.com

Meet these smiley boys! Ranger and his brother Rollo came to us as strays and are ready to find the PAW-fect home! They are a bit shy but love anyone with a handful of treats. They both do amazing walks and love to be with his humans. Ranger also loves playing with his tennis ball, while Rollo loves his squeaker toys. These loveable boys are a year old and still have all that playful puppy energy. These love bugs are still working on being well mannered pups. Their adoption fee is $300 each. They are neutered, microchipped, flea treated, de-wormed and currently on a vaccine schedule. If you are interested in meeting these boys please contact us by phone (206-812-2737) or by email (buriencares@gmail.com)

Story
Introducing Rocky JuM Hit the theme music to Rocky the movie, because I expect that is what you will hummmm in your head every time I enter the living room. It is very muttivating. I am named Rocky because I look like an Italian stallion, but in reality, I am more chunky like Rocky Road icecream, plus I match Rocky Road icecream with my combo of chocolate with black sprinkles and dollups of white fur to signify the marshmellows. Is it just me or is it getting hungry up in here???? I have a Labby dabby dude personality and flappy dappy Labby ears, but obviously, I am a mix. I am 1 year old and 6 months too. I weigh about 60 pounds. But looks are not important, smarts are importanter and behavior is the importantest. You will never hear me randomly borking at phantom noises like some dogs. And you will never find me jumping up on people’s slacks or jeans. Nope. Not this good boy. If you wonder why I am so well behaved, it’s because I went to training to be a service dog for wounded warriors, but I didn’t pass all the tests to finish. That doesn’t mean I am a bad guy, it just means, you get the oppawturnity to use me as a family dog. Those requirements for being a service dog are purty strict and I didn’t cut the mustard, but at least I didn’t cut the cheese. Or maybe I did! I do know words like “sit”, but I can get a little excited so my sit can be a little bouncier than your average sit. I guess that make scents, as if you were in a car on a rocky road. I am great around all dogs and all people. The lady says I need to say I will do best in an active household with lots of attention and walks and activities. That my friends is a eufurmism for “this dog’s gots lots of energy”. I do, but I am also a good boy too once I exercise. Plus I am house house, leash and crate trained, a terrific shotgun car rider. I can’t wait to meet you and hang out and get treats for all my good boy moves GOD'S DOGS Rescue, in San Antonio TX, does not have a shelter. Our dogs are raised in foster homes in the San Antonio area. Each dog comes spayed or neutered, up-to-date with age appropriate vaccinations, micro-chipped, heartworm tested and are current with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE OF $400 for dogs over a year old, which also includes the cost of transportation to the assigned location. Medical records accompany each dog at the time of delivery and may be emailed to adopter prior to dog arrival if desired. Microchips will be automatically registered to the new owner after payment of adoption fee. The registration site we use is Michelson Found Animals which is free to use and update during the lifetime of your pet. Please allow 24-48 hours for the new information to appear on the website. God's Dogs Rescue will remain as a permanent back up registration for safety sake. Please visit our website http://godsdogsrescue.org/ for helpful information re: transport, our adoption process and application, volunteering and fostering, and photos of our dogs/pups looking for homes!!
