NEW ADOPTION PROCESS: Please fill in the Dog Lifestyle Survey found on the How to Adopt page on www.calgaryhumane.ca (please include my name and animal reference number) and e-mail it to adopt@calgaryhumane.ca if you are interested in adopting me! Serious inquiries only. Hiii y'all! My name is Boomer and I am a sweet sweet boy looking for a home to call my own. My ideal home will have dog experience and lots of energy and patience to provide me with the daily exercise I need as well as help me work on my manners. A nice fenced backyard would be pretty sweet too! My friends at the shelter believe that attending Polite Pooches would be amazing for us together, we can learn and grow our bond stronger. Kiddos are pretty awesome, but I am looking for a home where they can't be so easily knocked over, because I get pretty excited and a very big boy. Therefore, I am looking for a home with no human siblings under 14 years old. Doggie siblings would potentially be cool, but it's important they have a similar energy level and size, and are as confident and playful as I am. Food is life and so I'm not the best at sharing it, adopters must be willing manage and help me work on resource guarding if there's another pupper around. As for kitties, they must be dog savvy for it to work out between us.

Serious inquiries only.Behold hoomans, Walter here! I am a young, energetic, fun loving boy looking for a home to call my very own. I was a stray so my friends at CHS don't know much about my past. I am looking for a patient and experienced home that can help me work on my manners, including walking on a leash... those things are just no fun, you know? I'll also need some help with house training. A fenced in backyard is a must to help me burn extra energy. Couch potatoes need not apply, because a young boy like will need plenty of play time. Small animals are just a little too fun so it is best if there is none in your home. Kiddos can be pretty awesome, but I need me some that are not so easily knocked over, so 8+ would be best. If I sound like a good match to your home, contact my friends in adoptions to learn more about me. I can't wait to meet you!

Serious inquiries only.Hi there, my name is Abby! I'm a sweet young lady looking for a home where I can get lots of snuggles and belly rubs. Do you have a backyard? Awesome, because I'd love to spend my time outside playing fetch! I've been known to make friends with other pups, so I may get along with your resident rover. Not much is known about how I do with cats, but with a slow introduction I might like to have a feline friend! I would love some human brothers and sisters, but they need to be a little bit older - 12+ please! My paw-fect family will be experienced dog owners who can provide me with an active and structured home, where I can get lots of exercise. I am SO excited to start our life together, so please come soon! XOXO Abby

Serious inquiries only.Turbo here! My name is no joke! I am ready to go on many adventures with my lucky future family. I am a busy boy who could use a bit of work on my manners but I am a smart cookie so if you are committed to help me with training I think we will excel together! Due to my excitable nature I am looking for a very active home with dog experience, kids over 15 would be best and another dog friend might be cool too but we would need to meet first to see if they like my style (Currently due to the risk of COVID-19, no dog to dog meetings can take place at the shelter so until CHS is open to the public I will need a home with no other animals to be safe) . Little animals like cats and rabbits are just too exciting for me so best not to live in the same house with one. On the colder days when we can't be outside as much I would love to work on brain games like food enrichment toys etc. The team at CHS can give you lots of ideas on how to help be be my best doggie self. If you are looking for your soul dog stop by today and take me home with you! Spring is the perfect time for us to enjoy the weather together so ask about me today!! Zoom Zoom Turbo!

Serious inquiries only. Hello! Hello! My name is Callie and I'm looking for an active and engaging household. I have TONS of energy so I'll need lots of play time and fun mental exercises to keep me nice and smart. Because of my high energy I'll also needs lots of space indoors where we will live together! I sure love to woof! My ideal home with not have any shared walls, I'm known as quite the singer. I prefer to ride solo, no other small animals or dogs in the home please. I like to hang with just the humans as other animals are just TOO exciting for me. On that note, human siblings would be cool but they would need to be at least 10 years old as I can become quite excitable at times. I can be a little skittish around loud noises, especially around traffic, so a home that is not on a busy street is preferred! If you have dog experience, love the outdoors and have a large fenced yard, I think we might be a great match!

Serious inquiries only. Hiiiii, my name is Sky! I'm a super active girl looking for a winter workout buddy that is interested in morning (or evening!) runs. Fetch and playtime are two of my favourite things so I'd love a big yard that I can run around in and play with my human! The behaviour team here at CHS is taking me to agility classes to keep me entertained and it's something that is starting to pique my interest. To be honest, I am more of a ‘people pooch', so I would prefer to be the only animal in the home. Don't worry though, I've got more than enough love to give to my adult humans once I have a chance to get to know you! Because I am a little bit shy of new people and situations, I would do best in an adult-only home. Do you know much about my breed? I am searching for a family who has breed knowledge and plenty of experience to help me work on my confidence and intros to new people. Off-leash parks are off-limits to me, so a fenced backyard is a must! Because I have unique quirks that make the kind of home I'm looking for very special, I am available as a 'managed adoption'.
