Story
Ripley: 13 year old, red, neutered male, docked tail & natural ears, 16" & 20 lbs., owner surrender. Ripley is 13 years old up to date on all shots and neutered. He is kennel trained, but needs to wear a belly band until he knows the rules of a new house. Ripley is a sweet old man once he warms up to you. He has not had the best life so it takes him a little bit to trust, but once he does, he is a snuggler. Ripley loves to wag his tail and his eyes light up when he sees someone that he loves. He has a little trouble seeing, so he can be cranky here and there, but for the most part he gets along with my pack. Ripley does talk, so don't mistake that for growling or being snarky he really does want to please. He is just looking for someone to love him and understand him in his old age. For more photos of Ripley, please see: Ripley's Photo Album NOTE: Ripley is located in Fallon, NV. We will only fly this boy in-cabin with the Adopter. Story
Marco: 2 year old, black & rust, neutered male, natural ears & docked tail, 13" & 10 lbs. Shots up-to-date & Micro-chipped. Shelter rescue. "Hello Everyone, I'm Marco. I'm a 2-year-old, 10-pound bundle of sass. I ended up at a shelter in Central California. It is a scary shelter and more dogs don't make it out breathing than those who do. I had been there for a month, which is a really, really, long time in that place. I guess they let me live because I'm so handsome and because I've got serious attitude! Well I made it safely to my IMPS foster home. Being a typical Min Pin (only on uppers...), I immediately tried to establish who was the boss (me, Marco). Well, that didn't end well for me. I figured out right away that my foster mom is the boss and I have rules I have to follow, structure, and she won't budge on who is boss. Wow! I sure did not expect this! I mean, I'm appreciative of her loving me and being kind, and giving me lots and lots of really yummy food, but I was used to getting my way and being the total boss, so it was really shocking to me. I mean, I had a whole bag of tricks to use on unsuspecting people, but her bag of counter tricks was much bigger. I've been a total failure at becoming the boss, so I finally gave up and just mind her. Life is much simpler this way, and surprisingly enough, I'm totally happy with it. I think I actually feel safer with her being the boss and protecting me. I love playing with my foster siblings, both the really ginormous Doberman and the other little Min Pins like myself (Marco). I get along really well with everyone. There is a cat there that my foster mom keeps away from us doggies, but if I could get at that thing, I'd chase it. It would just be too much fun to pass up. I learned right away about that hole in the door with the swinging flaps. I can push those flaps and just jump out. I can run around the yard and do my business, play with my doggie siblings and explore! I just love that doggie door thing because I don't have to wait for someone to open the door. I can come and go as I please. Kinda lets me think I'm the boss just a little because I don't have to get permission to go out. My foster mom says I've not been destructive, but it is really because I have lots to do and have not felt the need. And, really mature guys just don't do that childish stuff. My foster mom really loves me! She says I'm just plain, stinking adorable! I love her too and will jump on her lap and bury my head in her neck right up under her hair, scoot around until I'm comfortable and sleep. My foster mom says I've got tons of personality! One minute I'm all sass and spit and vinegar and the next, I'm just the sweetest, cuddliest boy ever! I'm not a boring fella, I can tell you that! The people at IMPS say I'm ready for my own family now and they are going to find just the right one for me. My perfect family will need to be all adults or much older children and have lots of experience with sassy little Min Pins like myself and will need to set rules and boundaries for me and help me learn what they are in my new home. I'm pretty excited about getting my own family and getting lots of love and attention and knowing that they will look for me until they find me if I get lost again. If you think you are the perfect family for me, could you please hurry and complete the IMPS adoption application? I'm patiently waiting for you! Story
Burt: 10 years old, black & tan, neutered male, natural ears & docked tail, 13" 14.5 lbs. Shots up-to-date & micro-chipped, rescued from a hoarding situation. Burt is such a sweet and loving guy who just comes alive when he sees his human. If you sit down, there is Burt. He is so happy to be out of the hoarder situation he came from and part of a family! He really would like a home where a human can give him the individual attention that he craves. Burt also just purrs when he's on the couch by you, but you have to lift him up and down as being crated for so many years has left him with some mobility issues. He also can't get through a doggy door that is up to high, but he will go to the door, sit and look up and bark to let you know he needs in or out. A doggy door that is lower to ground level is easy for him to use. Burt really just wants to be free by being allowed to enjoy the out of doors, and he thrives on being loved and touched by a human. If you are that human than please submit an application and you will make this little min pin man very happy. Story
Chloe: "ADOPTION PENDING" -5 year old, chocolate, spayed female, docked tail & natural ears, 10" & 10 lbs. Shots up-to-date & Micro-chipped. Owner surrender. Chloe is an absolute gem. She's a min pin through and through; from her beautiful chocolate markings to her hackneyed gait. Chloe is one of the sweetest fosters I've ever had - she will give you face hugs where she presses her face into yours. Chloe is house trained and recently discovered the joy of going on walks - she comes back absolutely grinning from ear to ear. Like most pins she loves to snuggle and sleep under blankets with her humans. Chloe is fine with other dogs but will be most interested in humans; she is not good with cats. I am not positive how she is with children but I suspect she would be fine as she's just an all around love bug. If you want a wonderful companion Min Pin then Chloe is your girl! NOTE: Chloe is located in the Sacramento Area of CA, and we will not fly this girl. Story
Teo: 8 year old, black & tan, neutered male, cropped ears & docked tail, 11" 10 lbs. Shots up-to-date & Micro-chipped. Rescued from shelter. "Hello Everyone, I am Teo. I'm a handsome, older Min Pin boy who was lost, in the middle of a cold, damp, foggy, Winter, in a semi-rural area of the San Joaquin Valley. Being alone and lost in this area is scary enough for a big dog, but I'm just a little fella. I mean, I (Teo) am just barely 10 lbs. on the scale if I hold real still and I'm not even a foot tall. I was having a hard time finding safe places to hide and I was freezing. Finding enough to eat was hard and on top of all that, I have a growth sticking out of the side of my lip making it hard to eat and close my mouth. Animal control picked me up and gave me a safe place with plenty of food, but I was still pretty cold. The shelter gave me blankets and I was sure happy for that, but I was trapped in there. My humans didn't even bother to look for me. I was a good boy too. I just don't get it! It was pretty hopeless. I have to tell you, a little fella like me loves to be free to roam a yard and have a nice couch with lots of blankets to burrow into or even better a human's lap to lay on. I was dreaming and dreaming of this and all of a sudden there was an IMPS foster mom there to get me out and take me home with her. Life would have been grand if it were not for that annoying growth sticking out of me. My foster mom was worried about me, so she took me to a nice vet who said that growth had to come out. He's wasn't sure if he can get it all out or not since it was left untreated for so long. (As in it was never treated...) The vet said something about it sending roots into my gums and all over the place. Sounded pretty intense, and I didn't understand everything, but I went in on February 13th and got it removed and they sent that ugly thing off to see if I had this cancer stuff. I got my shots and got neutered too. I was pretty miserable for a few days. I mean, both ends of me were hurting pretty bad. I had a hard time eating, and I couldn't even sit down. Good thing that I healed up in a few days! There were a tense few days until the test results came back saying that that horrible growth was benign (I barked and jumped up and down when I found out I don't have cancer) I had lots of people sending me positive thoughts and prayers and I'm pretty sure this helped! It sure helped me through those days of hurting so bad and of not knowing if I had the C word and all that stuff. The vet said the growth might come back, but I can handle this since I'll have gone through it before and I get to live with a great family and shower them with licks and excited body wiggles. I know my new forever family will love me through whatever I have to go through. I'm all healed up and feeling great, so my foster mom said I'm ready for my forever family. She's sure going to be sad to see me go because she really, really loves me, but she wants the very best for me too. She says I've got so much love to give that I deserve a family of my very own. If you think you could give me a perfect home, could you please fill out the IMPS adoption application and come and meet me very soon? I'm patiently waiting and when you get here, you'll see me wagging my whole body with excitement to get to meet you!
