Story
Hey everyone, Mickey here...I’m ready for my forever home. I was in the Lodi shelter for a little while and I didn’t really like it there. My foster mom pulled me and I didn’t trust her at first either or any new people that I met. You see, I have livestock guardian breeds in me; i got DNA tested! Being a a GSD (50%), Pyrenees (25%) and Marema sheep dog (25%), I’m very loyal to my family and people and it’s my job to protect my space and humans. I don’t want or need a large pack of dogs or humans in my life. I don’t need to go to the dog park or attend social functions; I do like to run and explore, so property would be nice!!! Once I know that I can trust you, I love my people and pack hard! I love to give hugs at inappropriate times and am very playful. I’d love a home with lots of property to run around on and explore. I had to go to school while I was here, so I’m very smart and know lots of things. I can sleep in a crate, recall, hold a down for a long time, sit, and so much more. I’m basically a fully trained dog, so you should consider bringing me home to live with you. I also am house trained and don't mark in the house. Story
Hiya Friends! I’m Heath and I’m looking for my family! If you think I’m cute, wait until you get to know me! I’m a bit of a sensitive guy, so I definitely need someone who can help me navigate the world with compassion, but also won’t feel sorry for me! There’s a lot of stuff I’d love to try, so I’m ready and excited to find a playful, energetic and adventurous family. I love off leash hikes and have made many doggy friends in my current home. Cats are a “no thank you” for me. I just don’t really understand them and it’s a bit overwhelming. I can be a bit of a serious bloke on the outside, but I assure you I am a loyal and loving pup through and through. I love hiking and getting outdoors with my friends and cozy evenings curled up in a warm blanket. Strolls around the neighborhood are a work in progress for me, and I need some help feeling comfortable with that. Fortunately, my foster mom is an amazing dog Rainer and is ready to teach you her magical ways, so we can take all the adventures together. PS. I’m crate trained, house trained, don’t mark in the house, and off leash trained. What a BONUS!!! Are you my furever family? If you feel like you are and want to meet me, Please contact my foster mom Jenn and fill out this application. https://forms.gle/YRSbFYQr1EtrmQwa7

There will be a phone interview and a screening process. As I will want to make sure that you are the right person for the particular pup, you will also want to make sure I am the rescue you want to do business with. My references are the Better Business Bureau, Lodi Animal Shelter, Pals in Lodi Ca, Pacific Veterinary Hospital in Stockton Ca, Vineyard Vet in Lockeford Ca. You can also read about my accomplishments in the notes on my Pups Rescue Facebook page  Max is a Chiweenie. He is about 4.5 months old. He loves being around other dogs, He came out of an homeless camp. He weighs about 10 pounds, He has had his vaccine, been dewormed and has a micro chip. He will have to come back to Stockton to be neutered. If you are interested in adopting him, call Marilyn at 209-956-3004 for a phone interview.YOU MUST CALL FIRST, SENDING AN EMAIL FIRST WILL DELAY THE ADOPTION PROCESS. You must be at 30 years old to adopt a puppy from this organization. I do not adopt puppies out to families with toddlers, and that could be the reason I will not return your call. Another one of our requirements is that whoever is interested in adopting the pup, will also be the one who stays at home with the pup and the one calling. I do not ship puppies anywhere, if you want to adopt from us, you must come to pick up the pup. Pups Rescue's adoption fees range from $200-$400.  Please leave a message, as all calls are screened. She had the pups the next day. She weighs about 70 pounds. She is young, maybe 1.5 years old. She has no training, so will need help with jumping up. She is very friendly.
