Story
Perry and his two brothers came to us together. They are great friends but also do well apart. Sometimes they get into more mischief when they are together! LOL Perry is probably the curious of the three. He likes to know what is going on and checks out anything or anyone new to the rescue. Perry is often the leader of his brothers. Perry is likely to find something to get into and invite his brother along for the ride! Each one of these boys are the typical foxhound puppy....friendly but likes to chew and dig. They enjoy being outside and need a lot of exercise. They are scent hounds and their nose will lead them if there is a scent in the air! They are sweet and affectionate, good with children. Perry is a 1 year old foxhound. He weighs about 49.1 pounds. Perry has been neutered and is current on vaccinations. He tested negative for heartworm and is microchipped. Perry's adoption fee has been reduced to $100.00. He can be adopted at http://www.secondchancedogrescueofiowa.com/adoption.html Thanks!

Rowdy is upbeat and a lot of fun to be with! He loves to run and play and has a great time with you. Rowdy is selective about canine friends and we do would not pair him up with small animals. He has shared a kennel with another dog that is his size and has had no problems. Rowdy is loyal. He has never been aggressive with us and is always ready to go for a walk! Rowdy is a 2 year old hound/spaniel mix. He weighs about 59 pounds. He has been neutered and is current on vaccinations. He tested negative for heartworm. Rowdy has been microchipped. Story
Osborn and his two brothers came to us together. They are great friends but also do well apart. Sometimes they get into more mischief when they are together! LOL Osborn is probably the most laid back. He follows along with his brother's lead. Osborn is not as likely to "push" his way in when people are petting dogs. He enjoys being petted...just doesn't "crave" it. He is a happy boy! Each one of these boys are the typical foxhound puppy....friendly but likes to chew and dig. They enjoy being outside and need a lot of exercise. They are scent hounds and their nose will lead them if there is a scent in the air! They are sweet and affectionate, good with children. Osborn is a 1 year old foxhound. He weighs about 52.6 pounds. Osborn has been neutered and is current on vaccinations. He tested negative for heartworm and is microchipped. Osborn's adoption fee is $200.00. He can be adopted at http://www.secondchancedogrescueofiowa.com/adoption.html Thanks!

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Skylar came to us in October of 2018. She had been a stray for several months and had become feral. She had been away from human contact for much too long. She had to be caught in a live trap. Upon arrival Skylar was extremely withdrawn. It took months for her to be able to interact with other dogs. She just wasn't interested in anything. She was very depressed and had lost interest In life. Over a year later, Skylar has a wonderful time with other dogs. She runs and plays and enjoys that part of her life. But she still needs a person who will be patient and loving with her. Skylar is not a biter and has never shown us any aggression. She needs to feel a one on one love from a human being in order to build that relationship of trust. Skylar will walk nicely on a leash. She is not housetrained. We don't know anything about her history but we do know that we want her to have a loving home in her future. We believe Skylar to be about 3 years old and a lab mix. Again, we can't verifiy that. She weighs about 58 pounds. Skylar has been spayed and is current on vaccinations. She is microchipped and has tested negative for heartworms. Skylar's adoption fee is $50.00. We consider her to be a special needs dog. If you are interested in adopting Skylar, please apply at http://www.secondchancedogrescueofiowa.comThank you!
