Story
Hello my name is Dexter. I am a loving dog and love lots of attention. I am house trained and very good with children. However I do not get along with my roommate which is a male pitbull. From the last home I came from I had a small dog and a cat as a roommate and we got along very well. Looking for a forever home I thought this one would work out but unfortunately it has not.

I am Catahoula Leopard Dog, American Staffordshire Terrier, Lab and Siberian Husky!  I'm an energetic gal for my age and love exploring and smelling new places. I do have arthritis and an old ACL tear that was replaced but I don't let that stop me from being out and about but some days it slows me down. Squeaky toys are my all time favorite toy! I love to carry toys around in my mouth, it is my thing! I love the water and playing in the kiddie pool! If you like water and beaches I might be the gal for you! I need a home with no other animals. I like to be Queen Bee! I am a very smart girl!  If you are interested in Clover, we ask you to become a volunteers at Last Hope Adoption Center to get to know her! At first I do have stranger danger but I do worm up!  Clover's adoption fee is $250  includes her spay and microchip current vaccinations as well as a basic obedience class at Cedar Run in Hiawatha.  Last Hope requires all animals be kept indoors pets only altered currently on vaccinations and provide preventative year round.  Adoption process includes references and background check of that check and home visit.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. This handsome man is Biscoe!  Biscoe had his DNA tested and we now know why he is so handsome! His most dominant breeds found were; Australian Cattle Dog, American Staffordshire Terrier and Curly-Coated Retriever! Don't you just love that face! He does great in the car and loves to explore and go on outings to the park. He loves going for walks and after the walk he would be your couch potato buddy! Biscoe would love a yard he could lay around in and sun bath! He would do best in a quiet home with low foot traffic. Biscoe has called the adoption center his home for a few years and takes time to warm up to people but once he knows and loves you he will love you for life!  If you are interested in Biscoe we ask you to become a volunteer at Last Hope Adoption Center.    Biscoe's adoption fee is $250 and includes his neuter, microchip and current vaccinations as well as a basic obedience class at Cedar Run in Hiawatha. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi, I’m Duke! I am a charming, happy, Cattle Dog mix, about 2 yrs old.  I love to go for walks  or runs  (and I am really good at it!). I also love car rides, stuffed animals, and playing in a fenced-in backyard. I am completely house trained,  crate trained ,  and am very intelligent. I know what sit,  lay down , and stay mean, but I could use some more training to work on those commands and anything else you want to teach me.  I love to run and play; I have a whole lot of energy, but I also love to cuddle, give kisses and be loved by my human companion .  Basically, I just like to be doing what my people are.   I am very cautious of new people. I really prefer to come check you out first, and I really rather you don’t pet me until I know you will treat me with kindness.  I may  have to meet you a couple times before  I know I can trust you .   I can’t tell my friends at Last Hope what happened to me before I came to stay with them, but all they know is that it takes me a while to trust people.  Because of this, I should not be in a home with young kids or teens.  My dream home would be with an adult family who is familiar with my kind of challenges. I would love 1 other playful dog around my size or bigger  to play with (I can play a little rough so they need to be tough like me) and a family who is very patient with me while I adjust to new people in my life.  I am a very loyal companion and I just want to please my humans!   Once I know I can trust you, I just want to be around you and will be your shadow as you go through your day.  I have also had my DNA tested! I am officially an Australian Cattle Dog / Harrier mix!  I can’t wait to find my forever home.     All of our pets need to be kept as indoor pets and we do require a home visit as part of the adoption process. Landlord (if applicable), vet and personal references will be called.  The adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, microchip and vaccinations. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi there! My name is Dinah and I am ready to greet you with kisses and a very wiggly butt! I have been living with my foster mom and dad for almost a year and have added lots of snuggles and kisses to their daily life while they have helped me learn a lot about life inside a home. I will have a lot of excitement when you first meet me, and it won’t take long for me to relax and fall asleep next to you while you rub my belly. My favorite kind of day is when I wake up early with my humans and snuggle on the couch for a while, sit outside on the back porch and squirrel watch, go on a walk, chase toys in the backyard, go on a car ride, and then snuggle on the couch again before bed. My humans trust me to be outside of my kennel at home while they are at work. I have not chewed on furniture or ruined any shoes yet. My foster parents even trained me not to go into the kitchen since it is small so I wait by the kitchen doorway patiently while they are cooking. I also go potty in the yard instead of the house. I sleep in my kennel at night and I feel very comfortable in it. I have loved every human that I have ever met! I do not do well with other dogs and can be very dog reactive. A training class is helping me to do better on walks so that when I see another dog, I can ignore them and focus more on my favorite treats. I have so much love to give. I am sweet, easy going, quiet, and a great dog to live life with. I love to please and am very easy to train. I am looking for a home where I can be the only pet in the house. I will do best with older children because there are a couple of toys that I am protective of. Since I cannot go to dog parks, it would be really awesome if my new home had a fenced in yard where I could sprint as fast as I can to chase toys and burn off some energy. I can’t wait to meet you! Dinah's adoption fee is $250.00 and includes her spay, microchip, and current vaccinations. Last Hope requires that our dogs be kept on year-round heartworm preventative and as indoor dogs only. Our adoption process includes a background check, vet and reference checks and a home visit. If you are interested in meeting Dinah, please visit our website and complete an adoption application for consideration. www.adopthope.org     Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.
