Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Bogart - aka Bogey - is the sweetest pea. He is a Mini Aussie/JRT mix. He is crazy about dog friends and has cat friends too in his foster home. Bogey was born in November 2023 and was the shy guy of his family, but he has come a long way. Bogey is currently learning a lot in his puppy kindergarten classes, is potty trained and is the light of his foster mom's eyes. Bogey is normally very calm, but occasionally he gets the zoomies and just HAS to run. He goes on several walks everyday with his foster mom and always stays nearby. Does Bogey sound like the perfect dog for your family? Come and meet him and fall in love! All pets adopted from the Humane Society of Freeborn County will be spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, testing and will be microchipped. All of this is included in their adoption fee. Fill out an application to adopt at freeborncountyhs.org When transitioning your new pet home please allow for at least 4-6 weeks for your pet to adjust to their new home. They will need this time to decompress, and adjust to a new routine and environment. During that time we will provide check ins and counseling to ensure a successful transition. Please review all basic adoption requirements listed on our website before applying. We take finding the right homes for the animals in our care very seriously. They deserve nothing but the best! Please allow 2-7 days for applications to be processed. If an animal is listed in foster care, these pets are not at our facility, but are in foster care homes. They are still available for adoption, and meet and greets are done with pre-approved applicants only. If you have any questions feel free to send us an email at freeborncohumanesociety@gmail.com, send us a message on Facebook, or call or text 507-377-8501.

Story
I am Sam. Doc thinks I was born mid 2020. I enjoy long naps on the beach, long naps on the couch, long naps anywhere. I don't like too many stairs. I would love to have a human sibling. I hope your dog likes being around me too, but am okay being an only dog. I am not sure how I feel about cats. I'm gentle when you share your snacks with me and may drool a bit when getting my water. I know sit, down, paw, wait, and here. Come down and we can go for a walk and get to know each other! All pets adopted from the Humane Society of Freeborn County will be spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, testing and will be microchipped. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Meet Rio! Rio came to us as an owner surrender when her humans were moving and could not take her with. We believe she was born in February of 2020. Rio is currently around 50 pounds and we believe she would do best with older kids and adults. Rio is very scared of male humans especially on first meeting, she will bark and become defensive but with time and patience she does get used to them. She goes for a walk with a male dog walker every Saturday and does well. We believe Rio would do okay with other dogs (perhaps close to her size) but we are not sure how she would do with cats. She is a sweet girl that may need a refresher course on potty training and a few basic manners after she goes home. Rio is VERY high energy so she will need a home where she is kept busy / played with a lot! A fence may be ideal so she can run run run! All pets adopted from the Humane Society of Freeborn County will be spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, testing and will be microchipped. German Shepherd Dog

Albert Lea, MN
Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Good with kids, Not good with dogs, Not good with cats, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained,
Story
Radar needs someone who has experience with her breed. She is a sheperd with all the sheperd tendencies. She needs a person who can give her all the time to constantly work with her and reassure her. She is very anxious and has a tendency to urinate when excited or nervous. She was raised with only females most of her life so therefore has a hard time interacting with males without being nervous and peeing. She is very vocal and needs someone who knows how to help tone her down a bit. She is overall very well trained but needs someone to continue her training and be diligent in working with her.
