Story
Hey everyone, my name is Linus!!! I’m a 4 months old Rat Terrier/Chihuahua mix weighing in at 6 pounds of all legs. Even though I had a rough start in life, I’m digging my new adventure. I like playing with dogs my size and I don't mind being around the biggins either, I have a Great Dane foster sister. I also play with the kitty in my foster home if no one else wants to play. I’m working on my house and crate training, and my foster dad says I’m doing well, but I am a puppy so consistency and a routine are very important. I’m not a big fan of the leash right now but do really good with running around in the back yard. I can be a bit mischievous at times so you will need to keep an eye on me. I’m learning what I can and can't chew on but hey I’m a cute puppy so I try to use that to my advantage. If you’re looking to add some excitement to your life with a ton of cuteness then I’m your boy!! Hurry and come see me, before someone else gets me. A young dog is a 10-15 year commitment. Many dogs are surrendered to us because their owners are no longer able to care for them due to their health. We try to place young dogs and puppies in active, busy families. We encourage seniors to look at age appropriate dogs. Linus is neutered, up to date on all his vaccines, microchipped, on a monthly heart worm preventative, on a flea/tick preventative, and had a fecal. Linus’s adoption fee is $350.00. WE DO NOT ACCEPT PERSONAL CHECKS. Out of state adopters are responsible for arranging transport, WE DO NOT SHIP DOGS. For events calendar and adoption application please go to our website at aaprescue.org.

Story
Hi, I’m Flash, a small 3 year-old Chihuahua, weighing in around 6 lbs. I’m a little velcro dog, sticking to you wherever you go, and ready at all times to sit in your lap and give kisses. I’m happy all the time, never giving attitude to the other dogs when they take my bones and toys. OK, maybe a little growling when they try to take my food … but give a guy a break. Not my food!! I really like to be part of a family. I play with the other little dogs at my foster home and that’s really fun. They’re about my size, so that works out just fine. I’m not around cats or kids, so I don’t know how I feel about that. If I were around kids, I think I’d do better in a home with no toddlers, but school age kids would work just fine. I have lots of energy, like to run and play outside, and will definitely need a fenced yard. I’m working on coming when called, going up and down the inside steps to the basement, and potty training. A young dog is a 10-15 year commitment. Many dogs are surrendered to us because their owners are no longer able to care for them due to their health. We try to place young dogs and puppies in active, busy families. We encourage seniors to look at age appropriate dogs. Flash is neutered, up to date on all his vaccines, microchipped, heart worm negative and on a monthly preventative, on a flea/tick preventative, and had a fecal. Flash’s adoption fee is $300.00. WE DO NOT ACCEPT PERSONAL CHECKS. Out of state adopters are responsible for arranging transport, WE DO NOT SHIP DOGS. Story
Hi, my name is ChiChi. I'm an 8 year old Chihuahua mix girl that has had a bit of a rough start. The family I was with did not socialize with me very much, and my mouth was a mess and hurt really bad. When I got to All About Paws they had my teeth all cleaned up. I feel much better after losing 20 teeth. I'm now learning to trust people, but on my own terms. In the short amount of time I've been with my foster daddy, I feel I've grown so much! I use to be scared of noises and any type of movement. I'm now going outside to do my business but still have occasional accidents if my foster daddy is gone too long. I’m still working on my leash training, so for now I'm enjoying a fenced backyard. I like to play bow now and run around with excitement and bark. I'm still skittish, but I like to come to you on my own terms but with lots of affection and patience I will get there. Once I get in the chair with you I do like a good belly rubbing, sometimes it's only for a short time and I jump back down. I'm learning to sleep in the big bed, it's so nice. I do well with older kids and dogs my size. If you have patience and extra love to give I sure would like to meet you. ChiChi is spayed, up to date on all her vaccines, microchipped, heart worm negative and on a monthly preventative, on a flea/tick preventative, had a dental, and a fecal. ChiChi’s adoption fee is $275.00. WE DO NOT ACCEPT PERSONAL CHECKS. Out of state adopters are responsible for arranging transport, WE DO NOT SHIP DOGS. Story
Hello, my name is Raf, I'm a 7 year old Beagle mix that enjoys walks and running around my fenced backyard. The beginning of my life was a bit rough and sad but it’s nothing but up from here. I’m the best squirrel hunter you could ask for; I will help you keep all those pesky critters out of your yard. I am house and crate trained and enjoy going for long walks. I'm currently a little too thick at 50 pounds, but my foster mom is helping me get back to my proper weight of 30. I enjoy playing in the water at the lake and going for long walks so please continue my exercise program to help with my weight loss. I do okay with other k-9 siblings but I prefer to have a quite home to live out my golden years. I enjoy comfy couches and fluffy dog beds, anywhere my people are I want to be near. If you’re looking for senior that has lots of love to offer than come up and see just how adorable I am. Raf is neutered, up to date on all his vaccines, microchipped, heart worm negative on a monthly heart worm preventative, on a flea/tick preventative, had a dental, and a fecal. Raf’s adoption fee is $250.00. WE DO NOT ACCEPT PERSONAL CHECKS. Out of state adopters are responsible for arranging transport, WE DO NOT SHIP DOGS. Story
Hi, I’m Leon, an 8-year-old long-haired Chihuahua. I’m a very happy, easy-going little guy. I’m doing well being around all of the other K-9 fosters in my home, as they are small like me, but I’m not around cats or kids where I am so I don’t know how I’d react to them. I like to be outside, but I don’t require a fence. It’s best if you come outside with me at all times, just for my safety. I sleep in a large wire crate at night with the other doggies, or when foster mom is at work. We have all of our blankies and toys in the crate, so it’s very comfy. I have recently been diagnosed with epilepsy. My seizures seem to be mild and infrequent, but I need to find someone that is committed to making sure I’m loved and safe, and can give me my medicine every day. I’m also trying so hard to understand this potty training thing, but I’m not catching on so well. Foster mom keeps me in very stylish belly bands when I’m inside the house, so I don’t make a mess. Leon is neutered, up to date on all his vaccines, microchipped, has had a dental, is heart worm negative and on a monthly preventative, and on a flea/tick preventative. Leon’s adoption fee is $250.00. WE DO NOT ACCEPT PERSONAL CHECKS. Out of state adopters are responsible for arranging transport, WE DO NOT SHIP DOGS. Story
Hello there, I’m Dyna! I’m a 2 year old Papillon girl weighing about 14 pounds. I came into rescue from a hoarding situation where we never left the inside of the house. Everything is new to me, including attention, being introduced to new people, and the outside. But I am doing really well! My foster parents can’t get over my amazing radar ears, my smile, how soft my fur is, and my radiant personality! I have 3 canine foster sisters, and 2 human brothers, and I love them all! Once I was afraid of the outside, but now I love it and you will see me often with my nose high in the wind. I am doing well with going potty outside, and am crate trained, and making progress walking on a leash. I love to play, with puppies, humans, or anyone! I also love my snuggles and keep you company on the couch. My foster parents say I am one of the sweetest and smartest dogs they ever met! Will you be my new parent and show me how wonderful the world is? There are still so many firsts for me to discover, let’s experience them together! Dyna needs a fenced yard, and a canine sibling. I am very active and love to play with other K9s. A young dog is a 10-15 year commitment. Many dogs are surrendered to us because their owners are no longer able to care for them due to their health. We try to place young dogs and puppies in active, busy families. We encourage seniors to look at age appropriate dogs. Dyna is spayed, up to date on all her vaccines, microchipped, heart worm negative and on a monthly preventative, on a flea/tick preventative, had her puppy teeth removed and had a fecal. Dyna’s adoption fee is $325.00. WE DO NOT ACCEPT PERSONAL CHECKS. Out of state adopters are responsible for arranging transport, WE DO NOT SHIP DOGS.
