Story
Copper is an active, playful dog, 20 months old. He would do well in a home with another dog that he could play with, but hasn't been around cats. He is crate trained. Additionally, he has been trained professionally, but does require ongoing reinforcement of this training. He loves going on walks, playing catch, and running around the yard. He becomes fixated on toys and if it has a squeaker in it, he will get it out. So, he really has to be watched around them. If he sees new people or dogs he wants to greet them. He is very social and he loves to give kisses. We are looking for an active family who has experience with large breed dogs. His rehoming fee will include his crate, dog bed, water bowl, and toys.

Story
This adorable fellow is Joker! Joker is about 5-6 months old and a good sized boy, weighing in around 30 lbs. We are calling Joker and his siblings the “country mutt specials”; judging by their barks, their features, and their goofy, sweet natures we are calling them hound mixes. They would be fun to do a dna test on! Whatever breeds Joker is made up of, they sure combined into one sweet, good looking pup! Unfortunately, Joker’s first chapter of his life was a rough one! Joker and his siblings came from a very rural area, with a very horrible “owner”. This “owner” left them outside to fend for themselves, and when he decided to feed them is was the carcasses of the animals he’d trapped and skinned for their fur. We use the word “owner” very loosely with horrible people like this. Sadly it gets worse, he started to get sick of all the dogs running around his property and began shooting them with a pellet gun! Thankfully Joker was a lucky one and was not shot; however, he came to us very thin and with pretty much every parasite a dog can get. How he wasn’t showing signs of illness was a miracle! We are also thankful for the kind man who realized what this “owner” was doing to his dogs and convinced him to give them to rescue! That is where Saving GRACE and another rescue stepped in to help! Joker’s first few months of life is just a chapter of his past we were happy to help him close! He is a darling, happy boy considering all he’s been through and all the changes he’s met over the last couple weeks. It is an interesting thing to watch a dog experience so many “firsts”. First car rides, first time being inside, wearing a collar, sleeping on a cozy bed, playing with toys, being fed regular, healthy meals… the list of “firsts” is a big one for Joker, and we think it is safe to say he has really taken a liking to his new lifestyle! Joker is the sweetheart of the brothers, while he’s still playful, goofy, and food driven like his brothers, he’s got a soft and cuddly side to him too. Joker will plop into your lap and let out a huge sigh, telling you all about his horrible past and how happy he is to be in a warm lap of a loving person. He’s definitely got the whole heart melting, puppy dog eyes routine down! Joker has been a bit more sensitive to all the changes in his new life, but warms up quickly to things with his brothers and other dogs who are around to show him the ropes. Joker would be happiest in a home with an active, understanding family; preferably with a fenced in yard. We can’t gush over this adorable boy enough! To meet him is to love him! Joker is a foster dog though Saving GRACE, his adoption fee is $200. Joker has been neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated, dewormed (several times), and much more. All sweet Joker needs now is a family to call his own, a family who is ready to open their home and hearts to this sweet, floopy puppy! If you are interested in Joker please head to our website and fill out an adoption application for him! www.savinggracestl.org

Story
Snow is very sweet but very fearful and timid. She will need someone to be able to understand her shyness and continue to work with her. Snow does not like men nor strangers. She is really a one-person dog but she will REALLY LOVE that one person. She will tolerate one other laid-back dog but dogs must be supervised when together.

Story
Well hello there! I’m Britta and I’m 10.5 years old.  I am ½ of an amazing pair of Brittanys and we are looking for our forever home…. TOGETHER.  My sister Becca and I used to live outside all the time but since we’ve lived in foster care we’ve learned to love to be inside and hang with our people.  We like all people...me especially and I will stick by your side, follow you around the house, sit beside you on the couch and snuggle with you in bed. I like to be taken for walks, but I get excited and pull on the leash.  Walks are exciting…what can I say?  I also like toys…stuffies are the best.  I like to unstuff them.  I have a high prey drive so I shouldn’t live with a cat. My sister Becca and I would love a home where it’s just us and our humans.  More love for us.   We are very active for our age and love to run outside.  Don't be fooled by the white in our face...we are young at heart! I used to have nasty heart worms in me, but NBRAN got me all fixed up and they are gone.  I am spayed, up to date on all my vaccinations and overall very healthy.  So if you are looking for aperfect pair of Brittanys to join your family….we are your girls.  We will only go to our new home together…. together forever!  Our adoption fee, as we are seniors, is $200 US each but if you are a senior too it’s $100 US each.  We are located near London, Ontario, Canada but NBRAN can transport us up to 2200 kms or 1400 miles.  If you are interested, please submit an application and our people will get in touch with you.  http://www.nbran.org/adopt/adoption-application For more information about Britta (and Becca) please contact sandratoal18@gmail.com We will NOT consider splitting up this pair. They have been together their entire lives.

Story
Kaya is about 10 months old and a beautiful lab mix. We rescued her, along with our first dog, but Kaya is very energetic and needs a fenced in yard where she can run. We do not have one. She knows 'sit,' 'come,' 'off/down,' 'lie down,' and 'kennel.' She loves to play with our two kids, but is wary of strangers. She gets very excited when she sees other dogs on walks and could use leash training. Though she enjoys dog parks and does well off leash, she might do best as an only dog. We love her so much, but working full time with no yard for her to play in, is really not fair for her. She deserves a loving home with active owners. Thank you so much!

Story
Hi there!  It's me...Becca!  I am ½ of an amazing pair of Brittanys and we are looking for our forever home…. TOGETHER.  My sister Britta and I used to live outside all the time but now we know what it’s like to sleep inside and we like it! I like to sleep in the room with my people but prefer a dog bed on the floor beside you.  I like people, but I like my own space too.  (you can cuddle with my sister though!)  I like to be outside and watch the birds and the critters.  We have a doggie door and a huge fenced yard so I can come and go so a fenced yard for me is a must.  I love to eat.  I was very sick when I had heart worms and was skinny…but I’m better now and I’m making up for lost time.  I love to take your socks and to steal things off the counter when foster mom isn’t looking.  I also pull on a leash when I walk.  Hey…no one is perfect right?  Like my sister Britta I'm pretty zippy for my age so I like walks and running outside to burn some steam. I like my foster family, but I can be nervous around new people that come to the house.  I just bark at them a bit…that’s all.  Foster mom says I'm "discriminating".  I am spayed, up to date on all my vaccinations and overall very healthy.  So if you are looking for a great couple of Brittanys to join your family….we are your girls.  We will only go to our new home together…. together forever!  Our adoption fee, as we are seniors, is $200 US each or if you are a senior too it’s $100 US each.  We are located near London, Ontario, Canada but NBRAN can transport us up to 2200 kms or 1400 miles.  If you are interested, please submit an application and our people will get in touch with you.  http://www.nbran.org/adopt/adoption-application For more information about Becca (and Britta) please contact sandratoal18@gmail.com We will NOT consider splitting up this pair.
