Story
What is your name? My Name is Rabbit. Don't the ears give it away? How old are you? I'm only a year and a half old. Still a youngster! What do you look like? I'm all white, with some dark skin spots underneath my short coat! I'm a very muscley girl, too! What do you like to eat? Basically ANYTHING. I don't eat the stuff I shouldn't, but I love all sorts of food, treats, chews, etc! I'll work for food all day! What kind of personality do you have? I'm kind of serious, but still have that puppy energy! I love to tune in and work, otherwise I'm running zoomies and jumping up to be close to you. Describe your perfect day: Oh this is a good one! I love to be active. I run on the treadmill every day and would love a running partner to get out and see more stuff! Don't forget lots of snack breaks, too! What is your favorite toy? I'm still learning to play with toys, but love anything that rolls or dispenses snacks! Do you know any tricks? Well, since I'm deaf, we have gotten to do a lot of training! I know how to offer eye contact when in distracting environments, I know how to touch your hand with my nose to check in, I can sit, lay down, and stay on a pedestal! What scares you? I'm sort of fearless, but anything really wild and new can overwhelm me momentarily. I didn't get out much as a pup. Do you like cats? I love them! They are just like the squirrels in the yard! ... I wouldn't be able to live with one unfortunately. Do you have any doggie best friends? Well, I don't totally understand these guys. Maybe there's something I'm missing because I'm deaf, but I don't get the hype. They're fine... they just don't really appeal to me. If you could be anywhere in the world, where would it be? Out in nature, exploring everything! How is your health? I'm great! I had a litter of puppies, but I am all on the mend now, and in great physical shape! Who do you live with in your foster home and who is your closest companion? I live with a nice young lady and about 15 other dogs. My favorite is definitely the lady! Where do you hang out when you are home alone? I have this really cool crate that I spend my time in when I can't be supervised. I feel safe in my crate and don’t mind laying in there until someone comes home to play with me! I also eat all of my meals in the crate so that I can associate it with a safe and positive place. I am silent in my crate, which my foster mom appreciates when she is trying to sleep. Where do you sleep? I spend my nights dreaming away in my crate. It helps me settle down and get a good night of sleep! What do you love about your foster family? I love that my mind and body are challenged enough to keep me from being bored, and that there is always a new challenge to tackle! What was life like before you were rescued by Even Chance and brought into the welcoming arms of your foster parents? Before being rescued, I lived outside on a chain. I had a dog house, but it wasn't very big, and my yard was really sunny. My owners didn't even know I was deaf. Even Chance does not operate on a first come, first serve basis. In most cases we have already decided the type of home and owner we want for our dogs. These opinions are based on the temperament tests we perform prior to accepting the dog into our program and the behaviors the dogs display as they grow up. Our agency reserves the right to deny acceptance of any dog to an owner who we feel the lifestyle does not match that of the dog. We are in no way judging you or your lifestyle; we simply want to put our dogs in the best living situation possible. We take very seriously the decision we make when it comes to placing one of our dogs in a forever home. If I sound like the perfect pit bull for you and your family and you are interested in giving me a forever home, do not hesitate! Please fill out an application and my foster family will contact you to schedule an in-person meet and greet. We look forward to meeting any and all interested applicants. If you are interested in Rabbit, please fill out an application at www.evenchance.org/adopt

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
She would be a great dog for a older couple or single older person. Our kids and active lifestyle are too much for her. She was a puppy mill rescue so she has some mental issues. We have had her for 8 years and she is a sweet dog, but sometimes has issues. She hates storms and freaks out every time there is one. She has chronic intestinal disease. That just means her system sometimes get out of wack and she gets diarrhea. I think our active household causes flare ups for her. It is emotionally too much her. I would never send her to a kennel, but would love to find somewhere that she would be more calm and happier. She loves it when my mother-in-law watches her. She loves walks, but otherwise is a great lap dog. She would really be a great dog for the right household. I am just afraid we are not it. We have another dog and they get along fine. She has never been around cats, but I don't think she would have an issue with them. She does not have issues with kids either.

Story
Charlie is our sweet, 8-year-old puggle who has been with us since he was a puppy. He can be very lovable and playful but also loves to lay in a sunny spot and rest. Since our son was born 3 years ago, we’ve been able to give him less and less attention and now we are expecting a second child and growing more concerned that we can’t give him the life he deserves. He is friendly with other dogs and may enjoy a home with some pals or being an only dog. He isn’t incredibly mobile because of a tender ACL but still enjoys short walks and does well with stairs. Charlie has always received consistent medical care and grooming, is house trained, and quickly learned well to stay within the boundaries of our property with our Invisible Fence. Charlie is a great watch dog (and baby-waker) but too friendly to be a great guard dog. Charlie’s perfect home would include a soft blanket for him to snuggle under, a sunspot to lay in, and a loving owner that will enjoy his coziness and soft ears.
