Story
Layla is very good at stealing hearts. Happens all the time. Her foster says she is sweet, affectionate, loyal, well-mannered, and like most Corgis, extremely skilled as a herd dog. Other dogs in the house may not find that funny, so we are recommending Layla’s forever spot is either an experienced Corgi lover or a home where Layla can be the only dog. Here is the essence of Layla: On her first night with her foster, she spontaneously demonstrated her list of tricks: Shake, roll over, all that. Layla is also good with cats and a very happy walk-down-the-street girl. Our vets discovered that at age 8 she does have Cushing’s, easily controlled with one daily medication. We are happy to answer any questions about Layla once an application to adopt is on file. You can find the application at topdogfoundation.org/available

Story
Cuddlebug Bonnie loves people. LOVES PEOPLE. Dogs and everyone else are fine too.  If you love speckles, she offers them in a variety of locations and options.  She likes walks, watching movies from the couch, and interestingly enough, she likes a neat and tidy house.  At 11, she has lived amiably with small children, adults, and other dogs. Bonnie does best with company, and if that company can be people around her for most of her day, she thrives. She is about 40 pounds, with a Bassett nose and an intelligent capacity for figuring out the world in front of her. Please fill out an adoption applicaion to learn more about this cutie pie!

Story
She is sooooooo affectionate! At 8, Keila loves people to the nth degree! She gets along with dogs, cats, kids, and at 40 pounds she still fits the description of “love bug.” This girl will be great in a family or one-on-one, the only thing she knows how to be is sweet-tempered. Keila has a lot of energy, all of it geared to being close to and affectionate with people. For her own safety we will require her new home has a fully enclosed fenced yard. Can you see this face saying “Hello!” every morning? Keila has been fully vetted and has no known health issues.

Story
Lacey is looking for a new home, lots of attention and some one who loves kisses. Lacey is 9 years old but still acts like a puppy. She is house trained and know a few commands. She listens best when on a leash, or indoors. Have taken her to classes for off lease training but it didn't stick , mostly my fault. With some work she may pick it up.lacey is a very energetic dog looking for a good home.

Story
Hi, I'm Poppy and I'm practically perfect in every way. Let me tell you why: I'm energetic, affectionate and very smart. I've had extensive obedience training so I'm an all-star at sit, stay, down and come; I don't beg for people food; I'm an excellent loose-leash walker; and if you leave the gate open, I won't even leave the yard. I love to train and learn and I'll do almost anything for a little bit of your attention. I'm the perfect balance of active and lazy. The best day day would consist of a little exercise then watching a movie on the couch with my people. I absolutely LOVE summer outdoor adventures! If we could go hiking, play fetch, camp, swim and kayak all the time, I'd be the happiest dog in the whole world! I'm pretty chill and willing to try almost anything so I'd be eager to go on a new adventure every day. And bring your friends, I love meeting new people! Winter is my least favorite time of year, I don't like the cold; so when the season changes, I'd like to just snuggle on your lap with a blanket if you don't mind. I'm a great cuddle and I love to eat popcorn and binge watch the latest shows on TV. Let's hibernate together! In exchange for all this awesomeness, I ask for just one thing in return: I need to live in a home with no other pets or small children. The commotion of a busy household stresses me out, I get anxious and I tend to lash out at other animals. I’ll need a little dog-management outside of the house as well; just to be aware of other dogs in the area and keep my focus on you so I don't get stressed out. I'm pretty good at "watch me" and "look" so it's just a routine we'll have to work on together.   Here's some more fun facts about me: If you were a dessert, what would you be? Ice cream Squeaky or bouncy — what do you look for in a toy? Bouncy!      What do you value most in a friendship? Attention Do you have a nickname? I sure do! Poppy Love and Popperoni Favorite kind of music? Anything my mom sings to me. All in all, I'm pretty darn amazing if you'll just give me a chance. Everything I have going for me far outweighs my dislike for other dogs. I know my perfect person or family is out there, looking for a girl just like me. And I can't wait until they find me and we can start our brand new lives together! Note: Poppy has a mild thyroid issue, but a daily pill manages it! Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Hi there, I’m Bob. Foster mama calls me Bobby but she also calls me Bobber, Robby, Robert, Roberto, Bobster, Bobosso…the list goes on and on. I don’t care, I love everything she calls me because I really love my people. And I equally love strangers - I’ll likely roll right over and shamelessly ask for a belly rub from anyone who’ll pay attention to me! An average day for me goes something like this: I roll out of (your) bed where I’ve spent the night sleeping soundly, quiet as a mouse. I’m excited to start a new day by running out to potty then screaming back inside because it’s BREAKFAST time! After breakfast I bee-line for the couch where I cozy up for a morning nap while foster parents get ready for work. Then they say it’s “kennel time” and as much as I hate those words, I trot off to my kennel where I spend the day until they get home. When the foster parents get home, I can hardly contain myself, I’m so excited! I bark and dance to come out of my kennel and I BOLT like a rocket outta there. Then I bark and bounce, run around and jump, and I get a little nippy - you’ll have to be aware of this and work on it with me, sorry. I’m just so excited to be out that I can't help myself. My “distaste” for the kennel comes from my past: last year I was diagnosed with heart worm and had to spend 4 long months on strict kennel rest to limit my activity. It was horrible, I hated it, and developed a little anxiety for the kennel. Now, on my way to 100% heart worm free (yay!), I’ve been working really hard on kennel training again - and making great progress! Back to my day: I usually get a Kong to work out my energy, then maybe a walk, DINNER time, and then spend the evening playing with my foster dog sisters and some toys. I'll snuggle on the couch until bed time, then run to be the first one in (your) bed (Don’t even consider adopting me if you don’t want to sleep with me - snuggling with my humans is the best part of life, period). I live with two dogs and I love them. We wrestle, play chase in the snow, share toys nicely, and snuggle up when it’s time to relax. I can be a little overzealous in meeting new dogs, so intros need to be done slowly, but I’m happy and silly and playful and adapt quickly with dogs my size. I might be a little rough-and-tumble for smaller dogs…I’m not all that graceful. I’ve met a cat once and wasn’t too interested, but it’s been while and I’d have to meet one again to see if I can control my excitement around them. Kids are fun too, though again, I’m clumsy and might knock the little ones over! I’m currently taking Obedience Level 1 and learning to focus and cope with excitement in an appropriate way and improving those skills every day. I’m young and excitable and I’ve still got some “puppy” in me; I can get into mischief sometimes; but overall I’m really easy to live with. I adjust well to almost any home, I'm a good listener, I'm an easy walker, and I love car rides. So, after growing up on the streets and in a shelter in Texas, moving across the country, surviving heart worm, and living in rescue for six months, I’m ready to settle into a forever home and become someone’s can’t-live-without BFF. If you’re “the one,” you’ll foster* me until my last heart worm test in June, then we’ll officially become a family. Follow me on Instagram @adopt_bob and see more of my day to day or to reach out and ask me questions. Then, once you decide that I'm your soul dog, apply to adopt me! *Bob needs one final negative heartworm test to complete his treatment. He's had one negative result already and is currently happy, healthy and under no restrictions! As Bob's foster-to-adopt, Save-a-Bull covers all his expenses and vet care until he officially becomes yours.   Bob is sponsored by Loni S. and by GrimmSpeed If you'd like to sponsor a dog, please click here.
