Top o'the mornin' to ya! My name is Whiskey and I am an Irish Whiskey through and through! I will let you know exactly how I am feeling, so you never have to guess. Once you recognize all my different sounds and what they mean, we are going to be the BEST of friends. I am 3 years old, neutered, and house trained. I know sit, stay, and come. Walking on a leash is pretty good with a little reminder every once in a while that you are the leader. I love playing with other dogs! They remind me that the outside world is not as scary as I first thought it was. As a baby, I was pretty lucky. My mom died when I was 2 weeks old, but a nice lady took me in, bottle fed me, and raised me. Her heart was in the right place, but because I didn't have my mom around to teach me, I never really learned how to be a dog. Because of that, everything outside my house and owner was really scary and I never learned how to deal with that. We had a short time where a not so nice guy lived with us and it was frightening. We are both safe now though. The little Leprechauns at my Foster home still make me a bit nervous, but I loved my 4 year old at my old home! So, slow introductions would be best if you have any of those tiny, little, loud, and fast people. I mostly like quiet, calm, 1 on 1 time with my favorite human or 2. I have never met a cat before, so I would probably be scared and try to make myself seem tough to make it go away. That is how I learned to make scary things go away. You just have to let me know that is not the "gentleman way" and I will pick up on your signals, calm down, and try to make new friends or let you know I am not comfortable. My favorite game is tug-o-war. If I lose, I have learned to sit and wait for the game to start again. My favorite foods are scrambled eggs and peanut butter! I will do almost anything for those.
