Story
Marla was born in May of 2018. She is a very sweet girl, working on some confidence in her new foster home. Marla is a beautiful girl that is looking for a patient, consistent owner. She is looking for a home that is able to provide her with stability to help her overcome her fears and help get her on the right track! Marla would love to live in a new home as an only dog but with the proper intro, she could potentially be OK! She is reactive to dogs in general and would need multiple visits with her new adopter. She would, however, do best in a home with no children. Young children and other high strung dogs really stress her out. Marla also needs a 6 foot fence because she can clear a 4 foot fence with no problems. With lots of structure, positive reinforcement, and the help of a trainer, we are confident that Marla will blossom into a great companion. If you think Marla would be a great addition to your family, please fill out an application to meet this sweet girl! The suggested adoption donation for Marla is $350, which is TAXDEDUCTIBLE, and goes toward providing supportive services to animals inthe home, as well as the high cost of vetting our dogs in rescue. If you wouldlike to welcome Marla into your home, please begin by submitting our AdoptionApplication. The adoptions for all of our dogs will take place in the Omaha,NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not shipor deliver the dogs. Story
Jolene is cuddly Australian Cattle Dog/Staffordshire Bull Terrier who loves everyone, even strangers.  She enjoys playing with toys, and gets along with other dogs but plays overly enthusiastically because she does not yet have the social skills needed.  She knows several commands and is housetrained, and doesn't need to be crated because she is not descructive.  Jolene's perfect home will have a fenced yard and an owner with the patience to help her with her puppylike behavior.  Jolene gets very excited when she first meets someone so she doesn't always make a good first impression.  After a few minutes, she is wonderful. The suggested adoption donation for Jolene is $350, which is TAX DEDUCTIBLE, and goes toward providing supportive services to animals in the home, as well as the high cost of vetting our dogs in rescue.  If you would like to welcome Jolene into your home, please begin by submitting our Adoption Application.  The adoptions for all of our dogs will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. Story
Motty is a 10yr old, Border Collie/American Staffordshire mix, who is looking to be your one and only! This sweet girl, is VERY people friendly and is always excited to meet new human friends, both young and old, but would need to be an only dog.    If you’ve browsed through her profile, you may have noticed a very UNIQUE feature about Motty, she has heterochromia iridium (two different-colored eyes). We think that makes Motty extra special. Motty is also pretty petite, but don’t let that fool ya. Motty is all muscle and very strong. Motty would do well in a home with children, but parents do need to be aware of how strong she can be. She loves to go on walks & does best when she has her harness on. She does have a very strong prey drive, so no cats or other livestock in the home would be best. She is house trained and non destructive when left alone. Motty loves playing with her stuffed animals and manages to keep them in one piece for several days! (Ha!) Motty does not require a rigorous exercise routine. Just a few easy walks would make her day. Please fill out an application for this beautiful girl, and help give her, her “happily ever after.” The suggested adoption donation for Motty is $150, which is TAXDEDUCTIBLE, and goes toward providing supportive services to animals inthe home, as well as the high cost of vetting our dogs in rescue. If you wouldlike to welcome Motty into your home, please begin by submitting our AdoptionApplication. Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) Labrador Retriever

Good with kids, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Chase, born in August 2016, is Terrier/Lab (we think) mix looking for a new home. Chase has never shared a space with another dog or been socialized at all so we are recommending no other dogs in the home. He is food aggressive (which includes high value toys, such as bones), and if there are any kids in the home, will need to be watched and old enough to understand not to mess with him while he is eating. With the appropriate positive reinforcement training, time, and experience, Chase will get better. He seems to be a very happy dog, and does tolerate kids, but does seem skittish around other dogs.  He is very friendly when no food is near and loves to cuddle and he would love to be your lap dog, too! He is on high alert when he is in the home and will let you know when someone is on your property with a very loud bark. He will need slow introductions to people who walk into the home and it would be beneficial to teach him "I've got it" and "go" so he knows he can let his guard down. It is important that Chase gets a slow introduction to anything new so he feels comfortable and confident. With the right family and home environment, we believe Chase will gain more confidence and trust. All of these insecurities come from a lack of socialization so "slow and steady wins the race" with this sweet boy!  The suggested adoption donation for Chase is $250, which is TAXDEDUCTIBLE, and goes toward providing supportive services to animals inthe home, as well as the high cost of vetting our dogs in rescue. If you wouldlike to welcome Chase into your home, please begin by submitting our AdoptionApplication. Story
Duke, born approximately February 2016, has had a rough past but fortunately being left behind during a hurricane in Texas was his big break. It was his chance to get to rescue and on to a better life from his previous life of neglect and abuse. Since reaching Omaha, he has been rid of his parasites and heartworms. Duke is now a very healthy 3 year old Rottweiler Shepherd mix. He is learning people can be great and are not around to abuse him any longer. Duke likes to make the first move when he meets new people. He loves women and can be a little more hesitant with men due to his past. He has come to love and trust several men around him as well, but their initial approach needs to be a little slower and so it is not misinterpreted as a threat to him. When he is uncertain of a person he meets, he will back away from them. Duke loves daily walks on trails and in parks. He is very loving and affectionate but does not always know his size. He will back right up and sit in your lap if given a chance, so he can be petted and shown affection. He was used to being the dominant male protector around other dogs. He would do best as an only dog or with a submissive female dog as his dog friend. A home without young children would be best. Duke does better when he can anticipate the behavior of those around him. Children can be very unpredictable. Duke has been very affectionate with many children he has met, but he would be more successful in an adult only home. He does require a six-foot privacy fence. Please consider meeting Duke to see if he could be the perfect fit for your home. He would love to have a family he could call his own! The suggested adoption donation for Duke is $150, which is TAX DEDUCTIBLE, and goes toward providing supportive services to animals in the home, as well as the high cost of vetting our dogs in rescue. If you would like to welcome Duke into your home, please begin by submitting our Adoption Application.
