You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact Jenny Cope (giveadogahome@live.com) for more information about this pet. Animal Welfare organizations have been deemed as essential business, and so we are able to continue our operation.    However, we are taking the threat of COVID-19 very seriously and are following the government guidelines and implemting our own precautions.    Meet & Greets will continue to be on an appointment basis only. They will take place either in the outside enclosed area, or the large room at the end of he kennels. There is a no contact, other than with the dog in place and children will not be allowed out of their vehicles. TATIANA-Girl was saved  from a high kill shelter in Texas where dogs have just 3 dogs to be saved and transported to the rescue in Sebec, Maine  TATIANA-Girl is spayed, core vaccines, rabies, heart-worm & tick disease tested negative, de-wormed, monthly preventatives and micro-chipped. She has an estimated date of birth of 4 December 2015 and at the time of rescue in December 2019 weighed around 78 pounds. We have no way of knowing the exact breed, it is up to individuals to decide what breed they think is most likely.   TATIANA-Girl arrived at the rescue on Thursday, 19th December and was very depressed, she had been pregnant when she was spayed and so I am sure takes a much bigger toll on surgery and her emotional well-being.   After about a week she started to perk up, she had a meet and greet with some other dogs and really came to life when she was playing with the young teenage children and loved getting the attention from the adults.   I put her in a kennel with big ACE a very shy male GSD and they soon became best friends, him clearly feeling secure with her confidence. I brought them over to the house to live with my dogs and rescue's up here and she is having a great time - she is still very close to big Ace, but enjoys playing, chasing and wrestling with the other dogs - she is great with all dogs, although a little more curious around smaller dogs, not sure if I would trust her with a cat, and she has been great with some 5 week old small breed pups we have at the rescue.   She uses the dog door to go outside, eats, drinks and sleeps with all the other dogs, has never shown any sign of aggression and is a total sweetheart. She needs an active family who can give her the lifestyle that she needs, lots of mental stimulation, lots of adventures, walks, treks, road trips and all things fun.   WE ARE NOT ABLE TO COMMENT HOW SHE WILL BE AROUND CATS OR LIVESTOCK.   TATIANA-Girl is available for adoption for an adoption fee of US $550.   This fee is not negotiable and is used to cover the rescue costs of pulling, vetting, health certificate, transport from Texas to Maine, monthly preventatives, supplements, food, general day to day cost of running a brick and mortar rescue and anything else that is needed. Canadian adopters need to know that customs charge 15% taxes when entering into Canada.   If you feel that you have the heart and home to give this precious soul a wonderful life, please go to our website, under the APPLICATION tab, complete, then submit the APPLICATION. Our process takes around 2-4 days, and ensuring your references are aware that we will be calling, could speed up the process. Once you have been approved, we discuss any questions in regards to the dog you are wanting to adopt, then you complete and submit the contract, make payment and then we can work out the pick up / transport arrangements.   Please do NOT submit an application if you are not looking to take home a new best friend within the next few weeks.   https://www.giveadogahome-sanantonio.org/forms/form?formid=5838     ALL Dogs are LOCATED AT THE RESCUE IN SEBEC, MAINE. We post in various states along the east coast and Canada where we have had lots of successful adoptions to enable more exposure for these beautiful saved souls. Families will need to be prepared to travel to the rescue to meet and take home their new best friend. Sebec is located just outside the towns of Dover-Foxcroft and Milo (approx 8 miles) and approx 45 miles from Bangor. There are also lots of hotels, motels, pet friendly accommodations  and wonderful camp-sites for the more adventurous families and what a great way to get to know your new best friend.Click here to watch a video of TATIANA-Girl.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.

He has an estimated date of birth of 23 June 2019 and at the time of rescue in December 2019 weighed around 16 pounds. We have no way of knowing the exact breed, it is up to individuals to decide what breed they think is most likely.   PHEONIX-Boy be arrived at the rescue on 25th February and was very shy, not wanting to be touched by anyone. He was put in a communal area with other dogs his age and size and he started to come out of his shell. He is great with other dogs and will play and chase dogs of all sizes and ages, but he is still very wary of humans. He has come a long way in that he will come up for treats, but he is still wary and will hold back a little. He was adopted by a family who said for the first few days he wouldn't come out of his crate and they as a family decided to bring him back, it was sad as he had started to gain confidence the few days up to their appointment to bring him back. The family had several children and he was ok with them and it was one of the young boys whom he had started to trust first. He does walk on a leash and has never been aggressive.   Pheonix needs a family that has the patience to let him learn to trust, it would be best if the family had another dog as that would help him with his confidence. I am confident that with a patient, loving family he will gain confidence and trust and grow into a happy, loving family boy who enjoys family adventures.   WE ARE NOT ABLE TO COMMENT HOW SHE WILL BE AROUND CATS OR LIVESTOCK.   PHEONIX-Boy is available for adoption for an adoption fee of US $550.   This fee is not negotiable and is used to cover the rescue costs of pulling, vetting, health certificate, transport from Texas to Maine, monthly preventatives, supplements, food, general day to day cost of running a brick and mortar rescue and anything else that is needed. DAKOTA was saved  from a high kill shelter in Texas where dogs have just 3 dogs to be saved and transported to the rescue in Sebec, Maine  DAKOTA is neutered, core vaccines, rabies, heart-worm & tick disease tested negative, de-wormed, monthly preventatives and micro-chipped. He has an estimated date of birth of 14 February 2010 and at the time of rescue in February 2020 weighed around 15 pounds. We have no way of knowing the exact breed, it is up to individuals to decide what breed they think is most likely.   DAKOTA arrived at the rescue on Tuesday, 25th February and is not sure what is happening. We think he was most likely an owner surrender to the kill shelter, but are not 100% sure. Dakota is a senior boy, who is very gentle and quiet - he is living with the small dogs in the house and tends to keep himself to himself. I think it is a bit busy for him, he would prefer somewhere quiet where he can enjoy being loved and going on nice walks.   All dogs use dog doors to go out and do their business or to enjoy the cool, fresh weather in their dog runs or communal areas. We cannot say if a dog is house-trained, however, we expect families to understand that all dogs need a transition period and accidents could happen and training is most definitely needed.   All dogs are fed   Rachael Ray Nutrish PEAK Natural Dry Dog Food, Grain Free Western Grasslands Recipe with Bison.    Rachael Ray Nutrish Peak Dog Food receives the Dog Food Advisor’s second-highest tier rating of 4.5 stars.   WE ARE NOT ABLE TO COMMENT HOW HE WILL BE AROUND CATS OR LIVESTOCK.   DAKOTA is available for adoption for an adoption fee of US $550.   This fee is not negotiable and is used to cover the rescue costs of pulling, vetting, health certificate, transport from Texas to Maine, monthly preventatives, supplements, food, general day to day cost of running a brick and mortar rescue and anything else that is needed.
