Story
Carey Grant is one handsome Boxer mix boy that is about 6 years old and weighs 60 pounds.  This love of a dog was in a shelter in Nashville, TN but no one goes there to adopt much at all.  This boy was definitely worth the save.  He actually acts like a 2-3 year old dog as he loves to run circles in the yard when he gets excited.  He is doing well with his leash waling and will even carry it to the door for you when he knows he is going outside!  What a smart boy!  Grant will do best as the only dog in the house as he becomes very attached to his owner.  He loves to hike the trails with his foster dad and loves the outdoors.  Grant is great home alone for a few hours and also is good in a crate if you are gone for the day at work.  He is a snuggler and would love someone to lay on the couch with.  He loves his people!  He is pretty good with other dogs but he does take a little time to warm up if they are not laid back like his foster brother Cooper is.  Carey Grant takes it slow and easy in determining if a new dog is going to be his buddy.  He will chase cats so let’s not move him in to a house with any.  PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.com

Story
Sinatra is a handsome blue eyed boy that is about 2-3 years old and weighs 50 pounds of solid muscle.   He was found as a stray in a small town in Rural Tennessee and he is king of the pack at the shelter.   This boy is a Husky/Boxer mix from what we can tell (those blue eyes are Husky breed originals) and he is especially fond of the girl dogs at the shelter.  He is very open and friendly and wags his tail when someone approaches him with a kind word and greeting.  He is not a cat lover from what we can tell but he would love a home with children, a couple who might dote on him, another dog ready to be his forever pal and the chance to show just how smart and loyal he can be!  Would you consider Mr. Sinatra to be your very own? PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.com  Sorry, we cannot adopt to MA residents.

Story
Mitzy Ann is a sensitive soul that is so very sweet at 8 years old and with the intelligence of a purebred German Shepard.  Her dark face and inquisitive eyes are absolutely spectacular!  Once upon a time she had a loving family that gave her away and then she passed through several other hands before landing in a shelter in rural Tennessee.  Through all the different pass along homes and shelter setting, if she had been like most dogs in that situation, she would have taken a long time to trust again, but not Mitzy.  It took her no time to accept her new foster family who quickly got to work getting her rough coat back into shape and all the little rough spots on her skin starting to heal, putting back on much needed weight and a renewed brightness back in her eyes.  Mitzi is very smart, calm, laid back and she settled in quickly to her new foster family routine which is active and fun. She has been such a lovable member of their household!   This girl loves going on car rides and snuggle time on the couch. She is extremely loyal as most German Shepards are and would love to find her own human family again!  She quickly attached to her foster mom, and though she loves playing with and being around the rest of the family she is a one owner type of dog... she watches the window the entire time her foster mom is gone whether or not other people are home!   We could see this girl as a dog with a retired woman that wants a protective force in her home and also a devoted and loving companion. She needs to be an only dog.  She is extremely friendly and loves to go on walks and meet new people.  In a nut shell Mitzy Ann is the most low maintenance girl you could ever want as a canine companion.   She just wants to be with her people and have them give her belly rubs!   She does not like cats (or cows) and will do best in a home without them. She has spent extensive time with dogs in her past, but isn't a huge fan and would prefer one as mellow as she is or a home without any other dogs at all.   She would accept another dog to live with if they were really low key and non-assertive towards her.   Mitzy is housebroken and knows all of her basic commands. She may be older, but she still enjoys playing with her squeaker toys and chasing a ball. She is an easy going, sweet, friendly dog that just wants to have a loving and loyal companion to be her person again!

Story
Raffi is one of those dogs that was an adorable puppy who grew up and realized his young owner really didn’t have the time for him.  This great 3 year old Shepherd mix boy just needs someone who will be willing to work on a few bad habits and who will polish the many positive qualities that we know does exist with him.  He is a joyful dog that is a great runner and does well running beside a golf cart or beside someone who is biking.  He has excellent endurance for an active person with an outdoorsy lifestyle.  He can run long distances with someone who wants a true running buddy.  Raffi is smart, very attentive and learns fast.  He is wonderful with people he knows but will bark at strangers until he knows to trust them.  He loves being with another dog and playing hard once he knows the dog.  He also really loves the company of a person he likes and will stay by his side and be a great devoted companion.  In the house he is calm and content if he has had enough exercise.  Raffi is a beautiful dog with a shiny coat and who now weighs 39 lbs.  He came to us as a rescue puppy when he was 7 weeks old.  His mother was apparently a Catahoula, and we think maybe Dad had some Shepherd in him.  In his current situation, he is in a 1/3 to ½ acre enclosure until evening with plenty of space to run but he is bored and and so barks a lot and chases strange people along the fence with neck hairs up.  He has always been fairly protective and territorial at his house.  He can also be nippy to people he doesn’t know and gets overly excited with too much commotion or kids playing around.  He can jump really high over a fence, has figured out that he can jump high enough over an electric fence and dig a way out under a fence.  He definitely needs a person experienced with dogs who will work lovingly and diligently with him and bring out the best side of his personality.  If you would like to know more about Raffi and would like to meet him, please contact us at 615-305-2518 or email  ccrtennessee@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.com  Sorry, we cannot adopt to MA residents.

Story
Roc Man was dropped on the door  step late one night of a small town Humane Association in Alabama.  This Pitbull boy has been at the shelter for a couple of years now. This small town Humane Association is so clean and well run and very 'humane' and loving to their dogs.  They don't give up on them even if it is years that they stay.  We know there is someone out there for Roc Man.  Just look at this big guy who loves the GIRLS!  But we will say he is not a dog that likes to compete with other boy dogs.  This stud muffin (who is neutered) is around 6 years old and weighs around 85 lb. When he came to the shelter he was heart worm positive but has been treated him and he is negative and on prevention. Roc Man has had everything done  is fully vetted and micro chipped.  Roc is a strong guy, typical of the bully breed. In his younger days, Roc was quite a ruff player. Thankfully, we have noticed as he has matured, his playtime is a little more mellow and more respectful of the furniture...lol. Roc proudly shows off his blue ribbon that he won at the Huntsville HOTC Dog Fair for winning “Most Handsome”! We think so too!  Please email us if you are interested in this boy!  We can transport him northward if you want to adopt him. Story
Meet Fantasia, a beautiful 33 lb, 2 year old Terrier mix girl that is probably a mix of Cattle Dog or Kelpie . This sweet girl has developed diabetes and to top all of that her parents have divorced and now the single mom is working too much and she feels that Fantasia needs someone with more time for her.   So we are seeking a good family for this little girl.  This was devastating for them to consider letting her go.  Fantasia is such a calm and exceptionally loving dog who gets along with adults, children and other dogs.  She is a light hearted girl that loves to chase after squirrels and balls when playing outside in the fenced yard, walks, and car rides.   She understands the following commands:  Come, sit, stay, eat, up, down, [go get] ball, potty. She is VERY smart and could learn so much more with someone focusing on her and more training.   She is house trained but may have accidents from time to time due to her diabetes.   She is not a health problem except to get some shots twice daily.  She is a total love.  Please contact us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.com  Sorry, we cannot adopt to MA residents.
