Story
Ivy needs our help, and we are looking for a medical foster or foster to adopt as she goes through her heartworm treatment.  Ivy is a typical German Shepherd, meaning she’s super loving and loyal but wants to protect what she cares about. Once she’s settled in and has bonded with her new family,  her instinct is to protect them.  Boundaries need to be set so that she knows that her job from there get go is to be a family pet and not a guard dog.Ivy would do best with a person or family who understand and is familiar with the breed. She’s sooooo teachable and eager to please her human and SMART! She’s thought to be around 2-3 years old, is good with other dogs and is house trained.  She’s spayed and is undergoing HW treatment which is covered 100% by Stray Haven. This girl has so much love to give and is an absolute SWEETHEART   Ivy is a 2-3 year old German Shepherd who arrived very pregnant with Sarcoptic Mange. She delivered 11 puppies on November 16 and did a phenomenal job being the best Mommy! Her pups have all been adopted and now it’s now it’s time for Ivy to find her very own family! She’s a complete sweetheart, loves people, kids, dogs and cats. She’s a very people oriented pup and would make a great companion for someone. Being a GSD she needs some training which she’s so eager for. She loves to chase tennis balls and is ready for lots of adventures. She’s still growing her hair back after recovering from mange and getting her post baby body backShe has not been introduced to a crate and is working on house training.    If you are interested in meeting and/or adopting this baby, please fill out an application. They currently are fixed, up to date on shots, wormings, preventatives and are microchipped.
