His ideal home is one where he would be the only dog, with a patient human that would train him in basic commands. He is a tail-wagger around kids. Come and take Boomer for a walk. Alaskan Malamute German Shepherd Dog

Burlington, WA
Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
* * As a Malamute/Shepherd mix, Joey is a serious dog: well-mannered and aloof, but really likes people. He is easy to approach and comes for petting. We suggest a home where the children are over 14 years old. He gets along with cats and has lived with other dogs. The best companion would be a dog of the opposite sex. He has had some training. He knows how to sit and shake hands, and the command "no." He responds to praise, treats, and your touch. He is learning to walk nicely on a leash and does the best on an "easy lead." Please familiarize yourself with his breed. This is a strong, independent breed of hunters and travelers. His ideal home must have a fenced yard and room to roam.Come and take Joey for a walk. He is a good boy.

Story
* * Bandit is a high-energy dog who loves life and loves people. He has had some training. He knows how to sit, come, shake, stay, and lay down. As a Shepherd mix, he wants to please and will be trainable by a patient, kind human. We suggest a home with children over 10 years old, due to his size and activity level. He would do well with having another dog to play with. Bandit's ideal home is with an active family that runs, hikes, or does other outdoor activities.Come and meet Bandit and take him for a walk, or better yet, a run.
