Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Lucky is an insecure and shy boy who needs some help gaining confidence in his day to day life. Because of his insecurities, we recommend a home with no children. When he knows you well, Lucky is a total sweetie who believes he is a lap dog and who loves just hanging out by your side. At only one year old, lucky has a lot of energy and he needs to be provided with appropriate outlets for that energy every day. He likes to chew on his toys and has met and played with other dogs in playgroups here at the shelter. However, he has had some negative experiences with other dogs in his previous homes, so a meet and greet will be needed before Lucky can go home with another canine friend. An active house where he will receive daily training, socialization and lots of play time with two or more walks/jogs would be ideal! Lucky would even make for a great hiking or camping buddy! Does lucky Sound like a good fit for you? Come meet him today, he'd love to take a walk with you!

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Marti is a young, rambunctious boy who is exuberant and enthusiastic! Nothing makes him more excited than getting to play fetch, although he hasn't figured out "drop" yet. No drop, just throw! Marti will need lots of daily walks and plenty of time to play fetch. He also loves to wrestle and rough house with other dogs! His play style isn't for everyone, so we definitely would want to do a meet and greet so that we can try to make sure that his play style and another's dogs will match. Since Marti is so high energy, we recommend that he go home with kids who are older. Twelve and up would be best!Would you like a dog to go on daily adventures with? Do you want a dog to go on long hikes and camping trips? Marti could be the perfect dog for you!

Hayden

German Shepherd Dog

Female, Adult
Spokane, WA
Size
(when grown) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
Details
Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Hayden was transferred to us from SCRAPS, where she originally came in with a pretty bad injury to her back leg. The wonderful vets at SCRAPS tried to amputate only a portion of her leg, but it did not heal successfully so they did have to take the entirety of her back leg. Even so, it doesn't slow her down whatsoever! Hayden absolutely loves to play fetch or toss around a horse ball! She is sweet and loyal when she gets to know you. Hayden entertains herself well but could do well with another dog, too. We strongly recommend a meet and greet, as some dogs might not know how to handle her energy! She seems to do fairly well with cats, though she might need to be worked with as she tries to play and some cats might not like that. We don't recommend Hayden with children, as she can be slightly defensive of her back leg area. Come take Hayden out for a walk and she'll be your best friend!

Details
House-trained, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Ryder is an energetic boy who sometimes gets nippy with people as is common with most cattle dog breeds. He would do well in a high activity home where he will be trained and worked regularly, daily, multiple times per day. He plays very intensely with other dogs, so will need to meet all other dogs in the home before he can go home. Ryder will require multiple visits with his family before he can be adopted.
