Story
Meet Timmy! Timmy is full of energy and is a super silly dog who is a ton of fun. He loves going for car rides and digging through the toy basket to find what he'd like to play with next. He walks well on a leash once he gets his initial burst of energy out and loves to run and play outside when it's warm out; but when it's cold he prefers to get out, do his business, and scurry right back inside. Timmy loves people but does like to jump sometimes so small children wouldn't be the best for him. He knows how to sit, shake (with both paws!), and lay down. Timmy is a very smart and handsome boy but he does need to be the only pet in the home and requires a back yard so he can run, run, and run some more.

Story
Meet Paco who is bonded with Chili Paquita (and the mother of his babies)! The kids have been adopted and now it's time for mommy and daddy to find their forever home. These two love each and we can't see separating them. Paco helped Chili Paquita care for their six babies with everything except for, of course, feeding them. He does well at going potty outside and loves a good game of chasing Chili around the yard. He will need a home with a fenced yard as he loves to explore and run, run, run! He would do best in a home with no children. He does get along fine with his foster brothers and sisters and will push his way into the middle of your lap for some cuddles. Can you give Paco and Chili Paquita their forever home?

Story
Archie was a feral dog that was trapped in Stephen's State Forest along with 16 other feral dogs. The "Forest Dogs" are all learning to trust people. They have never been pet by a human prior to their capture or heard everyday sounds like the hum of a refrigerator, the tumbling of a dryer, or even the flush of a toilet. Everything is new to them. They require fenced yards because they are still learning to walk on leashes. We won't sugarcoat this...they are projects! If you have patience and a huge capacity to nurture and the ability to teach, please think about adopting or fostering one of these dogs. I can't begin to describe the joy you will feel watching dogs like these progress into happy, confident dogs. It is truly amazing to see the first tail wag, the first playful act with a toy, the first lick on your hand, and all of the little milestones that will touch your heart in a huge way. Please consider showing Archie what a loving home is. Thank you!

Story
Hi! My name is McPaul and I am a 4 year old Australian Shepherd mix. I was rescued along with many other dogs from a property during flooding this spring in western Iowa. I haven't learned how great people are yet and don't trust this thing they call a leash so I will require a physical fence. My new family will need to be patient with me as I gain their trust and learn how to be an inside dog. I would love a home with another dog to help me learn to be an inside dog also. If you are interested in meeting or adopting me, please apply at www.aheinz57.com/adopt.
