Story
I was in hopes of being able to keep her and prevent her from going to a shelter, but I have since discovered I am extremely allergic to Dogs. He is a loving dog with a lot of energy. She is great around my kids and while she is not that good around other dogs, my cat instantly was able to let her know who was king of the castle.

Story
Judy is a very sweet girl who has been in our shelter for a year and a half. Judy was a part of a cruelty case and due to this, was held as evidence with our team. Judy does not enjoy other dogs. The ideal home for Judy would be one where she is the only pet, with older children ,a fenced in yard, and a family committed to keeping her safe. Judy will need to be walked on a freedom harness (she will come home with it) when she goes for walks. Due to Judy's past trauma (which is apparent by her scars), it is very important that Judy's family doesn't take her places where dogs may be off leash or may approach her. Judy enjoys snuggles, eating from kongs, treats, and her kong wobbler. Judy has overcome so much and deserves to enjoy the rest of her life being spoiled and loved. Story
MYSTIC is a happy bouncy girl that will fill your heart with joy. Age: 3yrs young Breed: Lab/hound mix Size:about 55 Mystic is a very special girl who came from a horrible situation. She is mostly deaf and blind but can see up close (probably blurry) and she can hear certain pitches. She lived in a tiny pen filled with her own urine and feces and the cause of her hearing and sight loss is unknown yet not reversible. She is so happy and energetic to be out of that life and on her way to her new one! She really does get around good once she is introduced to her new area by leash. Because of her sight and hearing loss. She will require a fenced yard area for her for when she goes outside to potty and play She’s got a mild to moderate energy level and loves to go for walks on leash and loves to sniff and explore her world. Since she can’t see or hear it very well she will need a family that will be able to take the time to let her explore the only way she can and that’s by following her nose. She would do best with older children and that’s only because she cannot see or hear them and may knock little ones over unintentionally. She’s is so sweet she wouldn’t hurt anyone or anything. She’s a little shy til she trusts you and in time will learn how to accept more attention and petting. She is also House trained, potty trained, heartworm negative, fully vaccinated and Microchipped. If you are interested in opening your heart and home to this special sweet girl, write to Petpathorg@yahoo.com with any questions or fill out an application via our site. Story
Please read the entire Post Cora is In Winchester Tennessee . Cora is a five-year-old Catahoula mix with a very sweet personality, piercing eyes and gorgeous coat of color. Cora was picked up by a lady who witnessed her weaving in and out of traffic, terrified, and unsafe. Cora has since been on the stray watch for two weeks, with no one claiming her as their own. Upon medical intake and testing, it was discovered that Cora has a heavy load of heartworms. As you know, this is a very deadly and expensive disease to treat. We hate to say it but think she may have been abandoned just for that reason alone- for she is a fabulous girl. Since Cora has a heavy parasitic load, her treatment will be more potent and take longer for recovery, meaning she will be in our facility for an extended period of time before she can be adopted. It is our hope that a generous donor will step up and help Animal Harbor with the cost of the treatment and housing her for eight months; for we cannot take on the high cost alone. In 6 months Cora will need a heartworm test to confirm that she is heartworm free. This is something that you need to understand before inquiring about this dog. You will be required to have the test done at the 6-month mark. If you are interested in Cora please email kattiewithanimalharbor@gmail.com for more information, We transport with Rescue Riders LLC The best around.

Story
Precious Miss Peepers is a purebred Tricolor English Bulldog born Jan 3rd 2019. Her mommy bought her and added her to the family of a senior male golden, an adult male poodle and an adult male Frenchie. She loves all of her brothers very much and they love her. Her mom said she was a little stubborn to housetrain but as of Jan this year she has it figured out. Miss Peepers is spayed, HW negative and UTD on all vaccines and preventives. Peeper's mom was recently diagnosed with a heart issue and she feels like she needs to find a home for Peepers who is the youngest. Peepers is very sweet and seems fine with other dogs once she knows them but males will be best. She also needs a fenced yard as she is used to one and does better with staying housetrained if she can go out on her own. If you would like to give this special girl her forever home, please email omlc7@hotmail.com for an application. Peepers is located in TN so it is not possible to meet her prior to adoption however we will talk in depth to be sure it is the right fit.
