Story
LuLu- 14 yr old female Chihuahua. *2/1/13 UPDATE: LuLu started having seizures shortly after being rescued and is now doing great on her Veterinarian prescribed medications. She will need to remain on medication for the remainder of her life, but her monthly medication costs are low/very affordable. Original Posting: LuLu was on the streets of Detroit. A lady called us and said that their was a little dog in front of her house, and that her neighbors pit bulls had gotten out of their yard and were chasing her. When our volunteer arrived, LuLu was running away from the bigger dogs, and ended up on Hayes (a fast moving street) dodging traffic. She was so scared at that point, but our volunteer was able to corner her against a fence and rescue her. On the way back to the car, another neighbor came out saying she had been her next door neighbors dog, they had moved out a few days prior. They left poor LuLu behind, outside, in Detroit, to fend for herself. She's quite friendly with people after they gain her trust, does NOT like cats, and only likes other dogs who are older and relaxed, however, it takes her a few weeks to trust them. She's house trained thanks to her foster mom's diligence. We don't believe at her age, she'd adapt to children well. She was over bred as well as over fed!! Please contact us if you're interested in LuLu - muttsofmotownrescue@gmail.com

Story
Crash is about 6-7 years old. When he came to us, his leg was broken. Our vet tried to fix it with pins, but it never healed correctly, and he lost his leg a few months later. Crash is high energy. He's strong on a leash, and nothing slows him down. He needs a family that is not looking for a special needs dog, but one that can keep up with his level of energy. Please email us about Crash if you're up to the challenge!! muttsofmotownrescue@gmail.com

Story
Winston, male pit bull mix (amputee) Winston was shot with a 12 guage rifle in November of 2015. He lost his leg because his owner failed to keep him in a safe environment (fenced yard). While he was wandering the area, he was shot in the leg. Unfortunately, he lost his leg, and his home after that, as his owner couldn't take responsibility for his vet care either. Winston is a ton of fun. He plays ball like a champ, click here to see him go! https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=915137805263915&id=381107812000253 He's not so good with other dogs, but he loves men, women, and kids!! Winston has a requirement for a fenced yard, and no other pets. He has accepted neighbors dogs after some time getting to know them through the fence in his foster home. He knows sit, fetch, leave it, and is house trained, crate trained (iif needed, but he's generally a good boy), neutered and a big lover. Please email us about Winston at muttsofmotownrescue@gmail.com
