Honey is still waiting for her forever home. She is a graduate of our pups in prison at Clarinda Correctional Facility. She is currently in foster care and loves playing with her Saint Bernard friend. Honey is very energetic hound mix and would love a family who is active, she would be up to being a jogging buddy. Honey’s dream home would have a large fenced back yard and a house with a full length window or patio door that she can look out. She likes to chew on toys and chase anything. Honey is housetrained. She takes correction well especially from the man of the house. Honey is friendly, happy and up to learning new things. She weighs 50 pounds.

Story
Duke, born approximately February 2016, has had a rough past but fortunately being left behind during a hurricane in Texas was his big break. It was his chance to get to rescue and on to a better life from his previous life of neglect and abuse. Since reaching Omaha, he has been rid of his parasites and heartworms. Duke is now a very healthy 3 year old Rottweiler Shepherd mix. He is learning people can be great and are not around to abuse him any longer. Duke likes to make the first move when he meets new people. He loves women and can be a little more hesitant with men due to his past. He has come to love and trust several men around him as well, but their initial approach needs to be a little slower and so it is not misinterpreted as a threat to him. When he is uncertain of a person he meets, he will back away from them. Duke loves daily walks on trails and in parks. He is very loving and affectionate but does not always know his size. He will back right up and sit in your lap if given a chance, so he can be petted and shown affection. He was used to being the dominant male protector around other dogs. He would do best as an only dog or with a submissive female dog as his dog friend. A home without young children would be best. Duke does better when he can anticipate the behavior of those around him. Children can be very unpredictable. Duke has been very affectionate with many children he has met, but he would be more successful in an adult only home. He does require a six-foot privacy fence. Please consider meeting Duke to see if he could be the perfect fit for your home. He would love to have a family he could call his own! The suggested adoption donation for Duke is $150, which is TAX DEDUCTIBLE, and goes toward providing supportive services to animals in the home, as well as the high cost of vetting our dogs in rescue. If you would like to welcome Duke into your home, please begin by submitting our Adoption Application. The adoptions for all of our dogs will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver the dogs. Story
Rudy, the 9 year old 'miniature' Schnauzer is said to be just that...'miniature'...he weighs 35 pounds! He is as cute and sweet as can be! Rudy loves to cuddle and he does well with his potty bells. He loves to go for walks and would love to walk with you if you'll let him! Rudy was recently diagnosed with diabetes so he is on a strict diet and insulin shots after meals. He has been doing well with all that and he doesn't even realize you're giving him the shots! While he doesn't mind getting his meds, he DOES mind cats. He has a strong aversion to any and all cats and would absolutely not like to live with one...or see one...ever again. Aside from that, he is a great well rounded dog that is looking for a new home where his owner is home most of the day; if you are retired or work from home, he is your guy!  The suggested adoption donation for Rudy is $250, which is TAX DEDUCTIBLE, and goes toward providing supportive services to animals in the home, as well as the high cost of vetting our dogs in rescue. If you would like to welcome Rudy into your home, please begin by submitting our Adoption Application. The adoptions for all of our dogs will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver the dogs.
