Sunny wants to be your best friend!! He is a 4 year old McNab mix that was adopted by our family 7 months ago from up in Mendocino. He is the sweetest, most loyal pup. He is house trained & just really enjoys our company. He loves to hike/go on walks. He is great on leash unless there are a lot of dogs around. He does have a couple small dog friends and he has been improving on leash around other dogs. Currently he is still reactive/ gets worked up when they pass by. Sunny is quite the cuddler and sleeps in bed with me every night . He spends his day sunbathing out on the deck when I am home with him. Sunny came from an unpredictable / unstable background that has resulted in creating some anxiety with strangers. He is fine with strangers approaching him or coming into the house but growls when being pet at times. He does not act protective and does not have any food aggression. Would do best in home without kids and w/ someone who does not work long hours.

But you can encourage him and he'll come around. He's trusting of his grown-up companions and does well with routine. Petey has spent his shelter-in-place time in a great foster home where he is super polite, crates at night, is house trained and knows sit, down, touch, pick-up and spin. He loves searching for hidden treats, interactive food toys, bully sticks, chicken, flirt pole, playing tug, fetch and is learning drop and get it. WOW! He's a multi-talent. Toby is a special little dog. He makes his way around despite being mostly blind. He is active from morning to night and crashes out in his bed/crate. While at San Quentin Toby met a few dogs and seems to be ok with meeting dogs carefully on leash. Toby's handler got very attached to this little guy as anyone would after spending time with Toby. Toby's little prance and tilted head will make anyone melt. Toby is one of a kind and deserves a special forever home. Toby can live with another dog that can manage his antics, he likes to race around full tilt, sometimes knocking into other dogs - any other dogs in his home will need to be tolerant and up to handling those antics. Toby has displayed a joy for barking, the wind, shadows & noises are just some of the things Toby likes to bark for. He will do best with a family that can manage his environment and is willing to crate him at times during the day to make sure he calms down and takes a break from monitoring the goings on in the neighborhood. Willow is part of a group of dogs that came to us from Kings County Animal Services. These dogs were rescued from a hoarding situation. As a result, Willow is under-socialized and somewhat "shut down" meaning she doesn't offer the kinds of behaviors that more fortunate dogs show us. Despite that, Willow relies on people for comfort and is very cuddly. She only wants to be held and petted, which is a lovely way to start a relationship. Willow will need extra time to adjust to a more stable environment. Patience and love are the key. Willow is having trouble getting interested in and eating food. A consult prior to adoption is required to discuss how to help her modify her eating behavior and to offer her new family techniques for introducing Willow to a more normal routine.Historically, dogs who start out life as Willow has can come a long way. Willow might never be a happy go lucky girl, but if what we're seeing is any indication she will always be full of love.
