Story
Hi, this is Allen, he is about 4 years old. Allen is very mellow, the three most important things to him are: eat, sleep, and cuddle. He definitely feels 'safe' when he is next to his owner, he also likes to be under the blanket, that's probably the safest place for him, that's the only way he'd sleep. He is completely fine with people and kids, the only thing is sometimes he may feel intimidated by a male figure, especially if someone is very tall, but all he has to do is smell that person and then he is totally fine. Females, no issues at all. If I see Allen getting intimidated by a man, I always ask if it's okay for Allen to smell his hand, and that takes all the problems away. Again, it doesn't happen all the time, just sometimes, and something to be aware of. Allen does not like any other dogs, and it takes him a very long time to warm up to one. If he locks in eyes with another dog, he just starts to bark right away. Best to keep him away from other dogs.

Story
Whiskey is a fun loving highly energetic APBT, who just turned 5 years old. I got Whiskey in 2015 from a dog breeder, who happens to be a UKC judge. He’s great around children and other people. Whiskey is also great around other dogs, but must be watched around dogs that behave aggressive or dominantly. I love this dog very much, but unfortunately I have re-home as I won’t have time or the space needed for whiskeys needs. This dog needs a lot of exercise and excessive attention. He also requires daily grooming. I’m looking for people who are responsible, and are home owners. I’m also looking for someone who has time to run whiskey on bikes. I’m also looking for someone who’s familiar the Pit Bull breed and are capable of handling this dog. Whiskey can be clingy and does have a bit of separation anxiety, and must ve crated when left alone. He will howl and bark anxiously if he’s left outside too long. He’s addicted to fluffy things and sleeping on fluffy pillows.

Story
Raleigh is an 8 year old chihuahua mix who weights 9 lbs. He is a very shy, very loving handsome little guy. Raleigh will take some time to warm up, but when he does he will only have eyes for you. He is so very loving and cuddly, but he is also fine with lying on the couch and hanging out alone. His perfect companion is someone that will make him feel safe and secure and help him learn about the world. He wants to be your number one and will reward you with lots of kisses. Gets along well with his foster siblings (after a warm up period); they love to play and chase each other Walks well on a leash, but he is still getting used to the outside world. The loud cars and trucks make him nervous as do other dogs or people out there. Doesn't seem to care about toys at this time. Sleeps with his foster mom and his foster siblings, he has not been crated at his foster home. Seems to know sit and we are working on other commands. Completely potty trained, has not had one accident in his foster home, not one. Needs someone who will make him feel safe and secure. Will be very shy and timid in the beginning so just give him time to warm up to you. Has a cataract and is blind in his left eye. Raleigh is neutered, up to date on his vaccinations, and microchipped. Fill out an application today to meet sweet Raleigh.

Story
Lexi is an 8 year old chi / pug mix, who weighs around 9 lbs. She is very sweet, submissive, and loves to be near her person. She would make the perfect lap dog. Lexi is potty trained and uses the doggy door. She has a medium energy level, loves to go for walks, and walks well on a leash. She gets along with the other dogs in her foster home (although she is not a fan of strange bigger dogs). She loves fruits and veggies, especially apples, pears, and peaches! When she's not out and about, she loves to relax and sunbathe at home. Lexi came to us with a broken leg, which required leg surgery. She has since fully recovered, but she should not be allowed to jump down from high places, like a sofa. Her perfect forever home would be a family where someone is home a lot (or retired). Any children should be older, at least teenage. Lexi is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. Fill out an application to meet this sweet girl today.

Story
Looking for pint sized pal with tons of energy? Look no further than Xeno. He's a 2 year old. 5 pound, male chi mix who has ears for days. Xeno has high energy and loves to play. He loves the ball and loves chew toys. He plays tug of war with the other foster dog he lives with (check out the video of them playing). He gets along well with other dogs and will play - sometimes a little rough and rambunctious. He means no harm, he's just a young boy with energy to spare. Xeno lives with cats in his foster home, but he does want to include them in his play and likes to chase them, so any future feline siblings would need to be up for that. As a young pup, Xeno will need to continue to work on the training he is learning in his foster home. He has a big appetite and treat motivated, which is making training much easier. He knows basic commands such as no and sit. He uses a pee pad if he needs to but also knows to go outside to potty. Although Xeno will initially bark at strangers, he warms up quickly. He likes attention and sometimes you can catch him chasing his own tail for attention. He is a snuggler and will climb up in bed with you and rest his head on your neck or any part of your body. He is the perfect example of a sidekick as he will follow you around and enjoy activities with you. He would be perfect for a family with young kids who can keep up with his energy. Xeno is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. Please fill out an application and a volunteer will be in touch soon.
