Story
Hello pet seeker, Please meet Pig. She is my wonderful 9 year brindle pit bull mix. It is with a heavy heart that I’m seeking a new home for my girl. We recently had an incident that led to euthanizing our cat. She is now a constant source of sorrow for my partner. Pig came into my life 9 years ago. She was the only girl of ten abandoned pups in a yard in Chico. She was so tiny, walked up and placed her entire body on my shoe and closed her eyes. We haven’t been apart since. Piglet is unlike any canine I’ve ever encountered. She legitimately thinks she’s a human! She is loyal, loving, and affectionate to all of her humans, yet strong and brave when someone’s at the door. She enjoys a few walks a day, chasing a ball, and her favorite past time swimming (bonus if she can dive for rocks). Ideal new home: -Plenty of lounging space -Someone looking for a cuddle buddy -Cats ok, if they are comfortable and not timid. - No hyper dog companions. Pig is a chiller.

When she moves into a new environment, it doesn't take her long to overcome her shyness, and she blends in easily. She’s very cuddly and affectionate toward familiar faces. She enjoys petting and belly rubs very much, as well as playing with her doggie pals in foster home. Her favorite pastime is fetching toys in her mouth and trading them for treats. She’s very food motivated, so is easy to train. The first thing she does in the morning is usually greeting her foster mom with a toy in her mouth along with a big broad welcoming tail wag. Debby follows commands nicely, stays calm around cats and won’t chase after them. She has also learned good sanitary habits: potty trained mainly on pee pad, also under training to potty outside. Debby’s rescue story: It's the first sunny day after two weeks of unceasing rain. On her way home, the rescuer spotted two moving black objects by the ruin temple on the roadside. Moving closer, she found two puppies, probably no more than one-month-old. There was no sight of their mother. How were they going to survive the cold and damp nights without their mother? Without giving it a second thought, the rescuer picked up the puppies and later found them foster families to ready them for adoption. The two lucky puppies were Debby & Donna! Annie, spayed female, 9-months-old, 31-lbs If you would like to give ANNIE a forever home, please contact abetterchancerescue@gmail.com or log onto abetterchancerescue.org To fill out online application Visit us at Yelp: https://www.yelp.com/biz/a-better-chance-rescue-san-mateo Annie is a playful and affectionate dog who is very trainable. She gets along with human of all ages as well as other dogs or cats. She is potty trained well, can do inside the house on pee pad or go outside too. She behaves well for a young pup her age, not a chewer or barker. She’ll be the best candidate for family looking for companion dog! We look forward to someone who will see all the great qualities Annie has and give her a forever happy home! About Annie’s rescue: Annie’s mom is a friendly stray pup, she was found along the routine feeding route of the rescuer. She could have had a home before, since she’s very close to humans, not skittish at all. Rescuers has been doing onsite feeding for a while, until one day they found Annie’s mom injured badly from the animal traps; the poor girl was rushed to the vet for immediate treatment. Unfortunately the vet wasn’t able to save her right front leg and had to amputate it. Being a 3 legged mother of 3 young puppies, there was no way the rescuers were to release them back to the wilderness. So the stray family was placed in a foster home; they’re under loving care and training to be prepared for adoption. Annie is one of the lucky puppies. She is smart, very friendly, follows direction, and very food motivated. She already mastered some basic commands and is crate trained to sleep overnight. She’s playful, enjoys the companion of other dogs and also cats. Bania’s close to people, she interacts well with people of all ages. With some basic training, she’ll be a great companion pet for any type of family! Bania’s rescue story: Bania was raised by a bachelor since she’s a puppy.
