Story
Her name is Jenna, she is 3 years old. She's very hyper and loves attention and loves to play more than anything. She is definitely a dogs only household pet. She is a bit of an escape artist. She has been very difficult to train. She unfortunately suffers from separation anxiety and needs a lot of attention and traning. Jenna is the sweetest dog in the world but is very much a handful. It breaks my heart to have to re-home her but unfortunately the home owner brought in cats so she has to find another home so the house doesn't become a toxic environment for her.

Story
Diesel is a good dog who needs a second chance & we are not able to give it to him. He has a happy disposition & a lot of energy. He is very smart. He can sit lay down & shake happily with my 12 year old daughter. He is a great protector and wont let a single skunk or intruder in our yard. He is 14 months old & roughly 60 pounds. Diesel has dog aggression & he is a dominant dog, my boyfriend is able to manage him fine, but my girls and I have issues. He is always trying to dominate us & we are unable to walk him or be social with him because of it. Diesel has bitten me twice, he redirected when he could not get to another dog, he bit my oldest daughter once on the hand & my younger daughter twice. He only shows this behavior when he is on a leash or in a public park. Diesel is not aggressive in our daily lives. I believe his best home would be with a single male figure who has the time to train him with his dog aggression & who won't allow diesel to dominate him.

Story
Ethan is a nearly 2-year-old, energetic pup who loves playtime, toys, and his rubber bowling pin toy during the day and cuddle time in the evening. My husband and I adopted him from the SF SPCA at 4 months old. We have enjoyed every moment with him and truly love him as a family member. He has a big personality and shows us love in order of magnitude. Ethan, unfortunately, cannot be around babies, toddlers, or other small children, as he has a biting history. We have tried training him to be safe around babies, but with our own first child on the way (arriving in early May) we have realized, though extremely heartbreaking, we can't take the risk of Ethan around a newborn given that we will be sleep-deprived new parents. Ethan, however, LOVES adults and has a warm, vibrant, and happy personality. He is extremely loyal, fun, and super cuddly. He just doesn't have a liking for kids. We hope to find a new child-free family who can cherish and enjoy him like we have.

I got my pet from a friend, She's born August 28, 2011. She was named after an Alaskan Indian name meaning "spirit of dog" or wolf. Her name is Anni for short because her birthday was mine's and last husband's Anniversary. She is a happy dog, she loves the backyard, park. and walks. I just want a family who will take care of her as their own family.

Story
Chihuahua Age: Senior Female, Spayed 9 lbs Adoption Fee: None (includes spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations) Gertrude was turned in as a stray from the streets of San Leandro. The shelter made her available for adoption, but after 2 months and no interest, we didn’t want to her to spend anymore of the rest of her life in a shelter kennel, so we pulled her into foster care. She has some medical issues typical of senior dogs: a heart murmur that doesn’t require any medical intervention at this time; degenerative disc disease for which she takes Gabapentin. Her foster mom notes that she frequently wants to go outside to urinate. She isn’t incontinent, she doesn’t have any diagnosable issues with her bladder or urinary system. She seems to be able to hold it under certain circumstances, but also prefers to have access to the outside so that she can relieve herself when needed, rather than wait for someone to open the door or take her on a walk. We did dental surgery on her where they removed 5 teeth (on top of 12 already missing teeth). She still has plenty of teeth left. She is a sweet, independent little gal who gets along well with other dogs, doesn’t need a lot of attention from her humans. She would probably do okay with a cat. We are looking a “permanent foster home” to take her, while we continue to support her vet needs for the remainder of her life. A home with a doggy door is an absolute must.
