Story
Legacy Boxer Rescuewww.savetheboxers.com | info@savetheboxers.comHi, my name is Malibu, and thank you for stopping by my page.  My foster parents think I'm a 5-7 year-old (a lady never tells her true age) brindle female boxer.  I have natural ears and a docked tail.  My previous owners took me to this scary, noisy place (I think it's called a shelter) and left me there.  I was so confused and scared.  I don't know why they took me there and left me, but they did.  The nice people at Legacy came and got me and have given me great place to get back on my feet.I am a very lovable and easy going dog.  I'm not too sure about their dogs yet, but I enjoy their cats (I notice them, but don't have any interest in them).  I have a lot of energy, but it when it fades, I crash hard and just want to snuggle with my humans.  I am house trained and go in my crate pretty easily, but I tend to whine and bark if I hear someone or their dogs.  Eventually, I quiet down.  I enjoy my food and treats, but don't care much for toys or chews.  My teeth are pretty worn down so it's hard to chew on rawhides.I hope one day to have a family of my very own again.  Will you give this sweet older lady a chance at having her happily ever after again?   If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out our adoption application to begin the process. Story
Legacy Boxer Rescuewww.savetheboxers.com | info@savetheboxers.comHi. My name is Kapono. My name means righteous in Hawaiian. My foster Momma felt this fit me because I am filled with pure joy and love despite the life I lived prior to LBR saving me. My foster Momma calls me her tiny dancer as I will dance in place from excitement when I see her. She also tells me I should have been named Besos (kiss) as I LOVE to give kisses! I believe the world can be made peaceful with boxer kisses, so I am working on this one human at a time.I love everything in this world but birds. I just do not trust anything that can defy gravity and travel in the sky instead of the ground. Cats and squirrels also cannot be trusted. Anything that can climb a tree is once again defying gravity, which is just not natural.  Some of my favorite things to do are riding in the car, going for walks, getting my belly rubbed, and giving kisses!  I like other dogs but would prefer they just be friends that do not live with me. I only have time to give and receive love from my humans. My ideal life would be to go for daily walks then lay on the couch snuggled next to my human.I am ready for my furever home. Please contact your adoption counselor to talk to my foster Momma about me. I will be more than happy to go on one of my favorite things to do, car rides, and greet you with another o w of my favorite things to do, give kisses and let you run my soft belly. Sending lots of Boxer kisses!Kapono     If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out our adoption application to begin the process. Story
Legacy Boxer Rescuewww.savetheboxers.com | info@savetheboxers.comNo need to scroll any further! I think I’m your match! Hi there, my name is Rion (pronounced Ryan). The nice folks at Legacy Boxer Rescue are helping me start a new life! I came to LBR right before Christmas with a badly broken leg (my front, right leg to be exact). It was broken so badly that I needed to have surgery…can you believe that?! I had my fancy surgery on 12/23 – I have a plate in my leg now!! My total recovery time for my leg is about 8 weeks. Once I recover from that, I need to take the “No Baby Pledge” and get neutered. My foster parents think I will be ready for adoption mid-to-late February. Now that we’ve gotten the minor details out of the way, let me tell you about myself! I am 7 years young. You wouldn’t believe it though…I love to play! I am dog friendly, but I prefer dogs my own size. I currently live with two other Boxers and a Boston Terrier mix, and I love them all! I also live with a toddler, and guess what? I’m kid friendly! I prefer humans to other dogs. Let’s be honest…humans cuddle better than dogs. When I can use my ninja moves to get on the bed, I am a huge BED HOG! My foster parents say I am such a good boy. I’m crate trained, but it takes me a little bit to wind down when I get in. Because I’m 7, I’m potty trained; I haven’t even had any accidents in my new environment! I’m not the best on a leash, so my new family will need to help me with that. Foster mom and dad told me they can’t work on it with me right now because I’m on restricted activity due to my fun, peg leg. I wouldn’t do great in an apartment situation because of this. Speaking of housing arrangements…I will need a backyard with a taller fence. My previous owners said that I might be able to jump over a 5’ fence.I hope you love me just as much as I already love you! I’d love to get to know you and maybe become part of your family. Ask my friends at Legacy Boxer Rescue if you can get to know me some more. I can’t wait to meet you!   If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out our adoption application to begin the process.
