Story
Hello! Are you looking at me? My name is Ralph and I promise I am a sweet boy. I am looking for a home where they can work with me to be a calm boy. Unfortunately, we don't really know what my situation before I was returned. I tend to get scared around new people & bark, and I am afraid of tall men. I would do really well in a household with an experienced dog owner with no young children or cats. I love other dogs, and would do great with a confident dog to help me come out of my shell. I really love to lay in my kitty pool in the backyard, and sunbathe. I also walk well on a leash & will sit for food. The people at Second Chance are really hoping someone will give me chance! If you are interested in me or want any additional information please email info@secondchancespca.org COVID-19 UPDATE: We are doing appointment ONLY. Story
We have 3 dogs. One 8 year old female Anatolian Shepard black lab mix (Meka). One female pit bull lab mix that is 4-5 years old (Xena). Finally one male dachshund mix that is 7-8. The two larger females do not get along very well. The Anatolian is protective of us and does not like the younger female. Currently we can manage them. However we are expecting a new baby. We are concerned we will struggle to deescalate the tension between the two females once the new baby arrives. Meka is a wonderful friend and K9 that will hopefully be a great companion for someone that needs one.

Story
I got Nova as a rescue and have loved her dearly. I'm getting ready to go to Medical School in VA and can't give her the attention she deserves. Nova wasn't socialized as a puppy and takes effort to help her warm up to other dogs, but she has lived well with 2 other same sized dogs. She has lots of energy and needs to run, but she's incredibly cuddly and loving!
