Story
Ranger came into our life when he was just a pup! He was given to us by a friend who could not keep him at the moment. Unfortunately we realized that our lives were too busy to be able to care for him the way he deserves. So my father in law offered to take him in, and care for him. Since he was a puppy, ranger has loved being outside! Which is why we got him an outdoor dog house, & he loved it! But eventually the pup started growing and growing, he actually no longer fits in his house!! I have also seen that he is waaaaay to active and playful for my father in law; an older (74 year old) senior to be caring for him. He needs someone who can actually people train him, and take him out for runs/walks more often, someone who can actually keep up with him.

Story
Star is a sweet dog who loves attention. My daughter adopted her from the Rowlett Animal Shelter on October 22, 2019. At time Star had only been in the shelter for 2 weeks. Unfortunately, our daughter (20 yrs old) did not consult with us prior to the adoption. Our current dog is known to be defensive and protective his boundaries. We have tried to make it work for three months and there is still much tension - mostly on our current dog (Simba)'s part. Star gets along well with visitors to our home. We have another puppy that my daughter also brought home. The puppy and Star get along very well. Simba is the hold-out. Star is on a heartworm regimen being paid for by the Rowlett Animal Shelter. We use Premier Vet here in Rowlett. The situation is a bit urgent as my wife is undergoing back surgery very shortly and we will not be able to keep the dogs separated 100% of the time. The Rowlett Animal Shelter named her Syrup. We changed her name to Star.

Story
She was found on streets about 2 years ago, and after gaining her trust for a year, we took her to our home where we were surprised to find out she was pregnant. She's been living with us for about a year with her baby boy, Beltone and would prefer for them to be together. She doesn't mind our other two smaller dogs, but did not get along well with a dog larger than her. Very sweet, and loves just laying around and being loved on.

Story
Caesar is a great dog filled with lots of love! He was a rescue about 5 years ago and has been a great first pet for our ever growing family. He now is 6 going on 7 and unfortunately we just cannot keep him. He’s a ball of energy and requires a lot of attention that we cannot provide due to work and now 3 children. He loves walks and runs, knows a few basic commands and is a lot of fun to be around.

Story
This is our sweet Zena. We rescued Zena one year ago from an unknown but obviously bad situation. She is very healthy and playful and great with adults and older kids. She has not been allowed to roam free in the house so I don’t know if she is fully potty trained but she is fine with going in a kennel at night so I’m sure crate training is a xxxx@xxxx.x does have a problem with small animals, she has started to get aggressive with our little beagle. Unfortunately we cannot keep her here with that sort of behavior so we are looking to rehome her. The new adopter will need to be experienced with pitbull behaviors and personalities. Judging from her size at the time she was found we guess her to be between 20 and 22 months old. She is spayed and microchip

Story
Hello - my friend was admitted to the hospital last Friday and was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia. She is going to be in the hospital for at least a month - maybe longer and needs to find a place for her boy Hoke. Ideally, she'd like someone to foster him until she finishes treatment but also understands that she may need to let him be adopted. He is a half pit half English bulldog 2 years old. He’s been neutered. He was up to date on shots until this last November. He’s good with kids. Sometimes with strangers. Just depend. Not so good other animals though. We are desperately trying to find a place because we do not want to have to resort to putting him in the pound. I cannot take him because I have 4 dachshunds and a 2 yr old. If anyone can help us it would be so appreciated.
