Story
Hi guys! Our names are Lelo (daughter- the one with the ears that fold over and she is 5 lbs) and Stitch (father- the one with the up ears and he is 6 lbs). We are very bonded so we are looking for a home together. We were dumped on the side of a major freeway and we were soooo scared that we had to be trapped to be caught. This was July 30 2017. We have come a super long way since then, but we are still scared of new things and places (which… who wouldn’t be after all we have been through?!?!). This is why we are being listed as ‘special needs.’ We are very happy at our foster home… but we don’t really love to go anywhere else. We have never tried to bite anyone, we just don’t love new things and get very timid. We would not be great candidates for dog parks or doggie daycare kind of situations. We are very small, so we are a tad small to go outside on our own and will always have to have someone walk us otherwise hawks or owls could very easily swoop us up. We do well with potty pads in the house as long as they are not placed on carpet as it is a little hard to tell the difference sometimes. Sometimes if we are very scared we do piddle a little bit, but we are getting better about this as our confidence is growing. Just so you know we are still in Houston until our forever family finds us and adopts us… then we will get to you as fast as possible!!! The rescue funds the travel portion so it will depend on when a reasonably cost effective flight can be found, but again we will get there as soon as we possibly can, we are SOOOO excited that we may finally have a home of our very own. We know we are a little needy, but we are sooo sweet, so please consider adopting us. They are fully vetted which includes: (Spay/neutered, rabies & Dhpp vaccines current, heartworm negative and current on meds, and microchipped) Adoption Fee: $700 (for both as a pair… this also includes 6 months each of heartworm/flea meds equivalent to Advantage Multi, which alone is worth almost $200)
We'll also keep you updated on Stitch's adoption status with email updates.

Story
***update she is now with a foster in Seattle, so please contact us to meet her! Hello, my name is Belle. I was born 10/7/16, and I am about 12 lbs. I was born with 8 brothers and sisters, and being down here in Houston, it has been hard to find good homes (as it is soooo over populated down here), so I decided to look for my family up there. We have a few friends that have already, and the families are soooo amazing, so I am hoping I find mine too!!! I am a very thoughtful, well behaved, sweet girl. I know how to use a potty pad or will potty outside as long as you are with me (as I am just small enough that a hawk, owl, or other wild animal may try to kidnap me). I am a little shy and can be overwhelmed by too many new things at once. I get along great with my friends at my foster mom’s house, but sometimes I do not with new dogs right away, so I do not like dog parks or doggie day cares…. I prefer to stay in the comfort of my own house, or go places with you. I am not used to being around small children and at an adoption event (when I was already tired) I did try to snap at a child twice. Both times there were too many people around and the children came towards me quickly to touch me and I got a bit scared and snapped to tell them to leave me alone. My rescue can talk more about this with you, but basically I shouldn’t be around small children unless in a very controlled, very watched situation. I have done with calmer older children because they seem similar enough to the adults to me that I am comfortable. Other than these things… I love to just be with you. We can hang out, I can play with my toys by myself or with you, I love to watch movies with you, I like to go for walks if you want to… but chasing my toys is enough if you don’t feel like it every day. I LOVE to snuggle and sleep with you at night. I am not too picky with my food. I am currently on Nulo, but as long as I stay on grain free (as my doctor says that is healthiest overall for us pups and I’d like to live a long life!), I will not be picky. Anyways, time to go play. Please consider adopting me and loving me forever!!! Oh, and I will be in Houston until you find me, then I will get there as soon as I possibly can. My rescue pays for the flight, so they do try to find a cost effective choice, but that is usually possible within a few weeks. Belle is fully vetted: DHPP & rabies vaccines current, spayed, microchipped, heartworm tested negative and current on heartworm medication Adoption fee: $475 (this includes 6 month supply of heartworm/flea medication equivalent to advantage multi… this alone is worth over $100)

Story
Kona is a loving purebred Decker Terrier, who is looking for a family to appreciate her exuberant sweetness and to provide her the care she needs to flourish despite having an auto-immune disorder. Just 3 years old and weighing a sturdy 35 lbs., Kona doesn't let her condition, a skin condition called vasculitis, get her down. She's a very typical terrier, who enjoys lots of exercise, lots of chewing, and lots of love from her humans. Therefore, she is going to need lots of attention and supervision in order to thrive. She gets along with the three other Rat Terriers in her foster home, but can be a bit pushy when it comes to being the first in line for a treat or attention from her people. She would do best in a cat-free home as kitties might not appreciate her attention. Kona hopes you'll have plenty of time to exercise her busy mind and body (and a good supply of appropriate chew toys) so that her love of chomping on things with her pearly whites doesn't damage your favorite pair of slippers. Also, she really wants to be an A-plus student in Housetraining 101, but she'll need you to take her outside on a consistent schedule because she doesn't give strong signals of her need to go out. Perhaps most importantly, she's asking you to be committed to her physical well-being by taking her to quarterly check-ups with a veterinary dermatologist and by continuing with the medications she needs to control any flare-ups of vasculitis . (These average $150 per month.) Kona knows she's asking you for a lot, but we think you'll be repaid many times over by the warmth you'll feel in your heart knowing YOU are the reason for her health and happiness. Our adoption fee is $175 for adult dogs or $225 for puppies under 6 months old. If you are interested in adopting this dog, PLEASE READ THE DETAILED ADOPTION PROCESS information on our website at www. NewRattitude.org/adopt/  From there, you can access our adoption application or contact our Adoption Team for more info.
