Story
Opi is a five year old red heeler mix. He is extremely loving and very active. He loves to be in the mix and be involved. I adopted Opi when he was one and have not regretted it for one moment. He has been a lot of fun. Unfortunately, since the birth of our baby Opi has struggled to adapt and we can see that he is unhappy. He needs someone who can devote a lot of time and energy into him. He loves to go on adventures. Opi would be your best buddy. Opi has done well with other dogs that he lives with. He is very excitable and loves older kids. Opi also enjoys meeting new people. He’s done well with everyone he meets. We want him to be in a happy, loving home that will appreciate him for all his quirks. He really is a wonderful dog!!

Story
Cricket is an adorable 10 year-old, 13 pound Yorkie who loves to be by your side or in your lap. She does well with older children but prefers adult households. She won’t hurt a cat but she is a terrier and loves to give chase (though she always comes back k home). I inherited Cricket 4 years ago and we love her dearly but we are unable to pay for her routine vet medications. Cricket has become incontinent at a young age (the vet said it was most likely because she was a therapy dog for a bedridden owner who did not let her out to go potty enough). We have tried our best to correct this issue but continued vet care will be required. Cricket will come with doggie “underpants” and any remaining meds we have. If you have the patience and time she really is the sweetest companion animal!

Sweet Gertie is ready for you! Gertie is a senior with spunk! She loves to go on casual walks, play, twirl and snuggle. She weighs approximately 13 lbs. and could stand to lose a few more pounds as she continues to reach her goal. Gertie loves being with her human(s). She wants nothing more than to be your companion, spending quality time snuggled up on your cozy lap. Gertie can live with other dogs, cats, or as a one and only -- her happy place is with you! Gertie's best home would be quiet, a secure fenced yard, actively going on walks and retired. A home with no stairs is best or very few as Gertie is a senior dachshund who must have proper care for her back. Gertie is fed a quality senior kibble, takes a daily joint supplement along with other supplements that promote overall health. She is healthy girl with age related aches. If you've been looking for your best friend, loyal companion, unconditional love, here she is! **Please visit our website -www.hearts4doxiesrescue.org to apply as we will only be able to respond to applications**

Story
**PLEASE READ** Sweet, spunky, sparkling Maggie is ready for her best lifetime home! Maggie is an absolutely beautiful girl; but more than this, she is extra special in many other ways. Therefore, we are looking for an extra-special adopter. So please look beyond Maggie's gorgeous appearance and carefully read what Maggie needs for her happiest life. Maggie was surrendered to us when her previous guardians could not care for her properly, causing an excessive and dangerous amount of weight gain. All this stress on Maggie's little body created a back injury, rendering Maggie completely helpless and unable to walk. With months of the very best of our care Maggie is now at her ideal weight of 15-16 pounds, and she is strong, healthy, spry and plays with toys with abandon! Maggie's best home will be one level with access to an outside tidy, fully fenced yard and manicured lawn; no stairs; someone willing to install ramps if needed; a home with a small doggie and/or kitty friend; no children or large dogs; someone home full or part time; and someone experienced, willing and able to continue with Maggie's gentle lifestyle of strolls around a grassy yard, slow and steady walks on flat trails and visits to the beach. Maggie will come with her special supplements and food recommendations, in addition to lots of guidance and education on how to keep her body healthy. If you have experience with special doxies like Maggie, and feel you can meet the above requirements please send us an email - hearts4doxies@gmail.com telling us in detail why you feel you can give Maggie her best life. If we feel you may be a match we will then ask you to submit an application.

Rubeus is a well behaved and will be 2yrs old in June! Rubeus loves snuggling and playing with his various toys. Rubeus does very well on his leash and off. Rubeus does NOT do well when left alone. He is looking for his forever home and would prefer to be around older children/adults that can respect his space (toddlers overwhelm Rubeus). He will come with his toys, food, bed, leash and harness when his new loving family comes to pick him up!
