Story
Watch these two great videos of me! https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLM_uIo6J1bC58oHMXn-Hly8jdgQ2d6RDD Moberly is a super affectionate, lovable guy, just waiting for the right person or family to adopt him or foster him while he waits for his forever home. A handsome black and tan German Shepherd (possible a mix), he’s about two years old and weighs around 60 lbs. We at the rescue cannot believe he hasn’t been adopted yet - he is such a lover! In his foster home Moberly went from jumpy, exuberant, and willful to mannerly and compliant in less then two weeks. He has good energy inside the house, happy to lay around with a good chew, or rest at your feet provided he has had sufficient engagement. He is smart-as-a-whip, learns quickly, and would do well to have some mentally stimulating activities, like nose work, treat dispensing toys, or puzzle toys. This dog would love to go to positive reinforcement “school” and would surely be the top of his class. As a youngster, Moberly requires exercise but would do better with frequent shorter walks due to some dysplasia of his left hind leg. A good-sized fenced yard is a must. He absolutely adores people and would love a home where someone is there much of the time. If there are children, they should be 12 years old or over. He would be great for a person or family who has experience with German Shepherds and understands their personality. Moberly has done well being introduced and playing with other dogs. He met a cat while visiting someone's home and he was quite respectful of the cat’s space and did not “go after” the cat. So this is a good sign that he might pass cat testing – which hasn’t been formally done. The adoption fee of $425 covers the cost of his neuter, up-to-date vaccines, up-to-date rabies vaccine, any vet visits before adoption, and his microchip. Story
Nibbler is 11 years old. We rescued him when he was only 2 weeks old after he was orphaned. His mom was hit by a car :( We have had many great years with him and he has survived a lot, including a raccoon attack. Our relocation to Washington is making it difficult to keep Nibbler and his brother, as we are living in a much smaller space and they need the room to run that hey are accustomed to. We are so unable to spend much time with the due to our busy schedules. We want them to continue to live their best life and feel that we are unable to provide that at this time.

Story
Mattao (Tao) is a really sweet shy guy. Once he knows you he warms up fast. He is a hound mix with adorable brown and white markings, who reminds me of the dog in the book, where the Red Fern grows. He would do well with a librarian type as he is very quiet generally., and sticks right by your side for walks, He is very much a Velcro dog. He needs a foster or adopter help him work on how to be more confident in new situations. Mattao does find his voice when he is behind a barrier and he sees other dogs. He is a hound mix after all. He is untested with cats. So far he has been good with Gus his brother who came in with him as well as Lucy one of our female pitbulls. . Tao would be best with a confident dog who could teach him that the world is ok without overwhelming him. We do still need to neuter him, so finding him a place to recover, socialize, and honestly literally get warm is really needed. Mattao needs a spot without young kids due to his shyer nature, he is the freezing type, who just belly crawls and stays put if cornered, and you simply pick him up if needed. Mattao is a rescue favorite he has such a sweet innocent nature. He rides very well in the car also. Right now Tao has had to hang out in the rescue's overflow kennel. We really need an awesome mom or dad to step up and foster this sweet guy and get him literally out of the cold! Keep revisiting this page as we are adding more information as we learn more about Panda's personality and demeanor. Panda Bear's owner cannot keep him anymore, so this mellow fellow is looking for a new home. Of course, a foster home would help him get out of the kennel is E.WA and into a loving and warm home. He currently is being treated for an ear infection, and being out of the cold would be very helpful in healing that, as well. He needs a home with no cats, or small dogs. He seems fine with larger dogs, but would be equally as happy being an only dog. For information write connellpetrescue@gmail.com Or apply online at the link https://forms.gle/bSkgpdm6ZX7yH5Ef9

Story
How could you ask for more? Turner is an easy-going chihuahua who loves other dogs & loves people. He's affectionate, cuddly and has a good sense of humor. This little 9-lb chihuahua has a black/brown lush coat and curly tail. We think he is about 4-5 years old. He was found trotting the streets in a neighborhood of E. WA when it was below freezing. We tried to find his family but no one ever claimed him. The rescuer ended up fostering him for 6 weeks while he recovered from the trauma of being homeless and in the freezing cold. In those 6 weeks, wow, what a turnaround! In a safe and loving foster home, he was able to blossom! After those initial 6 weeks, Turner was transferred to a foster home in Seattle. The minute he arrived, he was cruising around confidently; it only took minutes for him to engage another small dog in play. Turner is a really easy dog. He loves being outdoors and exploring but also loves cuddle time next to you or in your lap. He adores sleeping under the covers of his foster mom’s bed. He loves going for walks and rides well in the car. He will bark if he's in the yard and sees a squirrel running along the top of the fence. He sometimes barks when he's really excited and happy about something. This sweet boy is good about being left home alone but prefers that there is usually someone in the home a majority of the time. This little guy deserves love and attention and we want to make sure he gets the most possible! He is reliably house trained. In a home with children, he’d do well with older kids who can appreciate that he needs considerate care and thoughtful interactions. If you’re looking for a small dog that is easy-going and has no behavior challenges, Turner is the boy for you! Act now! !For first dibs on Turner, apply at this link: https://forms.gle/bSkgpdm6ZX7yH5Ef9 Questions? contact connellpetrescue@gmail.com Thanks & Turner thanks you!

Story
Come play with me! This sleek, short-haired, handsome fellow is ready for the active life! We're guessing he may be a mix of Husky, Border Collie, and perhaps more. At just 11 months old, Sparky is a playful, joyful pup who would thrive with an adult owner (or foster) who is up for adventure...hiking, running, dog sports such as agility or fly ball or trick training, We are picturing a home with a fenced yard for this guy and don't believe an apartment would work for him. While he is good with kids, he's just too exuberant for a home with small children. He really wants to be with his person and have them engage with him—games or snuggling! Sparky was surrendered to the rescue under-socialized and under-stimulated having spent most of his early life alone in a backyard. After a couple of months in a stimulating foster environment we now know we have the Prince of Play. In his foster home, Sparky has started to learn basic obedience, recall, loose leash walking, nose work, and is even learning some tricks. Basic manners & impulse control training are important for him to continue in his adoptive home in order to balance his more natural state: unbridled exuberance! Sparky is still learning not to "mouth" when he's excited. For the most part he is very gentle, but every once in a while he still gets time-outs for mouthing too hard. Same with jumping up. For these reasons, Sparky would be best in a home without children under 12. In order to thrive, especially while still young, Sparky will need someone who is home, or can work from home, and is available for a periodic game of tug, a trip to the dog park, or a walk. He would not do well in an apartment. Sparky dreams of meeting a dog-loving, outdoor adventurer who wants a new best friend. Someone interested in dogs sports, training, or agility would be ideal. Sparky's adoption fee covers the cost of neutering, up-to-date vaccinations, and microchip. If this sweet face "sparks" joy in you, like it does for us, Please complete an application at: https://forms.gle/bSkgpdm6ZX7yH5Ef9 Questions? Contact us at connellpetrescue@gmail.com Thank you!
