Story
Cha Cha is a sweet little senior spitfire (aro 10+ years) who may not see and hear like she used to, but still loves exploring the great outdoors and then settling in for a good snooze! She’s an independent soul who forges her own path as she goes, and gladly welcomes other calm, easy-going dogs and cats along for the ride. Her partial blindness and hearing loss does cause her to surprise and startle easily, so she will need a patient family who will help her navigate safely (we’re recommending children over the age of 10). She’s been eating special UR wet food which she loves! She doesn’t mind being crated, and even goes there for naps sometimes. Cha-Cha is partially blind, she receives daily eye medications. She does see shapes and can get around fine once she figures out the lay-of the land. She was donated a Halo for added safeness while in the yard. She loves walks and would do well with an active family. She’s just waiting on her dental surgery, which will be completed prior to adoption. All other medical has been taken care of. She has a 2/3 grade L side heart murmur that does not need medications at this time and has been cleared for anesthesia during dental, eye medications, complete lab work up, vaccinations and fully vetted. For more information on Cha Cha, please fill out an adoption inquiry form on the Charlie’s Foundation website https://www.charliesfoundation.com

Story
Hi, my name is Pollo. What's yours? Anyway, nice to meet ya! Hey! Before you get attached to me, read all the way to the bottom. You will see that I am still in Houston, TX but I want to get OUT of Houston and OUT of Texas so I can have a really good life. I want to see Texas in my rear view mirror. A nice person came along and took me in and, now, I am ready to hit the road to your house! Uh, make that “our” house, OK? As soon as you adopt me, I’ll be on my way to you! I am very excited to find my forever home. I'm a good boy. You'll see! I am 1.5 years old and approximately 45 pounds. I am crate-trained. I have had all of my shots and have been neutered and I'm ready to go to my new home with YOU! Those funny-looking 2-legged creatures also say that I am microchipped – whatever THAT is. Wanna hear more good stuff about me? OK, here goes. I am a friendly boy. I love kids and adults and other doggies. Though, I would do best in a home by myself as I get jealous and want to be the center of attention. I would love to go on play dates to run around with other dogs and play. And, I love to play. I mean, who doesn't? I love to run and I am very energetic but I can also calm down and cuddle on the couch. I have been through a basic obedience course and I just want to please! I am a very cuddly boy. So get ready to cuddle with me. OK? What do ya' say? Huh? I LOVE my peeps! I am AMAZING in my kennel and am very crate trained. My foster mom loves me SO much that she only wants me to fly to my new home even if a pet transport truck was available. See my adoption information below. If you would like to take me home (and you know you do), please email westhoustonanimalrescue@yahoo.com and she can get me on my way to a new and loving home! My adoption fee is $650 USD and includes my vetting, neutering, microchip, health certificate, travel crate AND transportation on United Airlines from Houston, TX to areas in the Northeast U. S., North Central U. S., Northwest U. S., and Canada and will be arranged by the rescue group. (This is a courtesy posting.)

Story
Hi! My name is Tucker! Please read my bio below! Weight and Age: I am 75 pounds and am approximately 2 years old. Background: I was pulled by the rescue from a kill shelter here in Houston after several of the volunteers had seen a posting on the shelter site asking for a rescue to commit to me. I had been picked up by animal control and I am now in a loving foster home with another dog and am loving it! Medical Status: I will be neutered, micro-chipped, up to date on shots, and current on heartworm and flea preventatives. I have no other health issues and am heart worm negative. YAY! Activity level: I am pretty active since I'm still young and love to play with my friends (human and dog alike)! Potty Training/Crate Training: I am crate trained and learning potty training from my foster mom! Other Animals: Loves other dogs but vocalizes when playing so if another dog is reactive they may not like him. Not a fan of cats. Special Needs: I was very skinny when I was found and can have some food aggression with bones and my food bowl. I'm fine when my foster mom is near my bowl but I don't like it when another dog comes close so I eat in my kennel and then there's no problem! Location: Houston, TX but I'm available for out of state adoptions! If you have any questions please email my foster mom at nicole.whar94@yahoo.com
