Story

Rhubarb is a wonderful, gregarious, polite, smart, cuddly 5 year old girl who just wants to be near her people. She has some manageable arthritis in her back legs from her previous life, but has clearly had a family before at some point, as she's the easiest dog ever. My husband and I brought her home from the Humane Society hoping she could live alongside our cats, but definitely has a high prey drive for little creatures, so will likely never be safe in a home with cats. She displays absolutely 0 aggression towards any creature though (just prey instincts), and got all A's on her human-behavior test at the H.S. (she'll basically let people do anything to her including touching her food - I have the paperwork which establishes this too - she's a big baby!) We haven't tested dogs to any great extent, but I've never seen her growl at anyone! We fell completely in love with her but need to face facts about the safety of our other fur babies. :( She's seriously the perfect dog!!

Bella is a sweet 2 year old girl. She would thrive in a home where someone could be with her as much as possible. She cannot be in a kennel, as she hurts herself because she tries to escape. When left alone she does get into some trouble. She likes to explore, and check out garbage cans. While she is friendly to other dogs, she is dominant, and doesn't like to share. She's also VERY curious about cats. She likes to play, and gets very excited around small animals. A little too much even. She likes to sleep in bed with you, and has a bit of a separation issue. She does not like being alone. Bath time requires a lot of treats, and pets, but she gets through it. She is very loving, and can be vocal at times. She does well with kids, but is a bit more cautious around new adult males. Once she warms up to you and knows she's safe, she'll show you her belly and want to play.

Story

Sansa is 3 years old and house trained. Loves to play fetch, go on walks, and play tug of war. She loves playing with my other dog and cat. Goes to her kennel when told "bedtime" gets off furniture when told "get down".She gets nervous around new people and doesn't like to be touched by strangers. She gives plenty of warning if you're doing something she doesn't like by showing her teeth. She is muzzle trained for when her claws/fur need to be trimmed. We got Sansa from a rescue 3 years ago. I recently went through a divorce and don't have the time to give her the additional training and attention she deserves. She's a great dog and needs a little work on her nervous habits, but she'll make a great dog for someone with the patience and time.
