Story
I got Cyrus from the humane He was a stray from OK that the estimated to be about 2 months old. He was the cutest puppy I’ve ever seen, w/TONS of energy. He's a loyal companion that can sense when things are ‘off’ or if you’re sad. He loves to go for walks, run & play fetch. He prefers to chew on ropes over bones. He has some quirks since a puppy such as: afraid of strange/loud noises, fire, plastic bags, and HATES fireworks. The boy just loves attention, love & play. He’s a good boy & deserves to be loved on. He’s never had any major health issues. My husband a& I had a baby in Feb 2019. My husband is not an animal person like I am, add a baby to the mix and it's made it really tough. Cyrus is VERY interested in the baby. Not in an aggressive way at all, just wants to constantly be in her face, smell, lick, etc... & it makes my husband really nervous. My parents have been gracious enough to take him for now. He is bonded with another dog. More info on this but not enough space.

Story
Hi, my name is Rusty, but really someone should have named me Moose, or Monster, because I am one big hunk of gooey Pekingese. I am 1.5 yrs old / 30 lbs, and still very much a mouthy, mischievous puppy. Although, I have perfect house manners, and don’t need to be crated during the day, but I still like to pull down towels and play rough with my toys, and maybe your pant legs. I really need a person with Pekingese experience. I am mostly blind, but can see a bit out of one of my eyes, but have no depth perception. I need a ramp, or to be carried down the stairs to go outside, but can run up them to get back in the house. My foster mom takes me on lots of walks, which I love, but I am a little out of shape, so we go slow. I also need a fenced yard so I can play. I tend to be right on your heels, because I like to be where the action / food / love is, and feel the most comfortable with my head on your feet. I am great with my foster mom’s two older dogs and dog friendly cats, and they are nice enough not to bother me when I am playing “viciously” with my toys (love a good kong!), because if they butted in I would get too worked up and act naughty. I went to the groomer for the first time yesterday and they said I did great! Although, I really wasn’t too thrilled about the pedicure, but maybe over time I will get used to it. I am a beautiful red-head after all so will need to be groomed regularly. I am friendly and open to new people, but would rather have a quieter household so I don’t get overexcited and become naughty. Younger kids are just too rowdy and I might be too rough. I am super smart and learn new environments and routines quickly, and did I mention, I am super cute too?! My foster mom thinks I am pretty special, and hopes to find a special home where I can be my big, goofy, loveable self. My adoption donation is $350 + $24.50 Tax. All dogs are current on core vaccines, spayed/neutered, heartworm tested and on preventative, microchipped and if recommended by a Vet have had a dental cleaning and other treatment to get and keep them healthy while in the rescues care.   All dogs are living in foster homes and house manners including potty training and any behavioral issues are being worked on.  But we never say our dogs are 100% house trained as when they transition to a new home there can be accidents while they adjust to a new environment and schedule.   PNC Rescue is a 501c3 non-profit and any and all donations over and above the adoption donation are tax deductible.  We have a large group of dogs in our Furever Foster program that acts as a foster based sanctuary for dogs not likely to be adopted.  The rescue keeps these dogs healthy, comfortable and on necessary medications with necessary treatments for life. If you have any questions please feel free to contact us via email, pncrescue@yahoo.com and remember we are all volunteers.  Your patience is appreciated!

“Welcome Alice! She is a Hairless Chinese Crested and is a puppy mill survivor. She is four years old. Alice is missing quite a few teeth, but she is SO CUTE. She loves to give kisses and has warmed up to the good life very quickly. She’s not too sure about the outdoors, but is bravely testing having grass under her feet. Gets a little grumpy if other dogs get too much in her face, but otherwise very sweet.  Adoption Donation is $ 350 + $ 24.50 Tax

Story
Hi!  My name is Squiggy and I'm a 12 year old male looking for my furever home. I am a very sweet and laid back guy. I am a little pirate who loves life. I am a pirate because I am missing an eye. That does not stop me from being the happy, handsome guy that I am.  I love attention. My foster mom says I am like Velcro. I love being by her side. I love my toys and roaming in the back yard. I am good with other dogs that are laid back like me. I am completely potty trained and do very well on a leash. I love car rides too! My favorite place to hangout is a comfy bed or a bunch of soft blankets. I would really do well in a smaller, more intimate home. I am not fond of confined spaces- no crate. I am new to PNC so please check back for updates. My adoption donation is $ 200 + $ 14.00 Tax. Story
Hi!  My name is Diva and I'm a very cute Peke looking for my furever home. I am approximately 6 years old. I love walks and I am great on a leash. I am housebroken. My favorite thing is to snuggle and sleep with you under your blankets. I love belly rubs and I am very affectionate. I am missing an eye but that does not stop me. I do just fine. Unfortunately, I do not like other dogs. I have to be the only dog in the home. I am not fond of cats. I love to chase them. I prefer women over men and I hate to be crated. My adoption donation is $ 300 + $ 20.63 Tax.
