Story
Meet Patsy JR Name: Patsy. Favorite Self Help Book: The Art of Emuttional Muttnipulation: How to get your new owner to do your bidding by using the power of your cuteness. Age/Weight/Breed: I am a female, 2 year old, 45 pound playful Pitbull mix. Likes: I adore playing with the older kids that live at my Foster House and playing with fuzzy tennis balls and the rest of my toys. I also like treats! Something to Brag About: I walk really good on a leash. Not every dog can claim that! Plus I am house and crate trained. Dislikes: I do get intimuttdated by bigger dogs. So Foster Mom says I would need to do a meet and greet with any dog that I might have to live with. I lived here with a medium girl dog, but she got adopted and now I don’t have friends to play with. Final Ask: My main adoration is for humans. So if you are a human that would like a lone wolf but less hairy choose me. Maybe you want to be a one dog home and not collect dogs like potato chips, I would be a great choice! But if you do have a dog and don’t mind having the patience to let me give them a good sniffaround first, that would work too! GOD'S DOGS Rescue, in San Antonio TX, does not have a shelter. Our dogs are raised in foster homes in the San Antonio area. Each dog comes spayed or neutered, up-to-date with age appropriate vaccinations, micro-chipped, heartworm tested and are current with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE OF $400 for dogs over a year old, which also includes the cost of transportation to the assigned location. Medical records accompany each dog at the time of delivery and may be emailed to adopter prior to dog arrival if desired. Microchips will be automatically registered to the new owner after payment of adoption fee. The registration site we use is Michelson Found Animals which is free to use and update during the lifetime of your pet. Please allow 24-48 hours for the new information to appear on the website. God's Dogs will remain as the permanent back up registration for safety sake. Please visit our website http://godsdogsrescue.org/ for helpful information re: transport, our adoption process and application, volunteering and fostering, and photos of our dogs/pups looking for homes!! Thank you for wanting to adopt a rescued dog, their LIVES depend on it!

Story
My name is Foxie for my fox-like ears. But I most resemble a meerkat in coloring and expression and stamina and stature, but no self-respecting dog wants to be labeled after a kat, so I chose fox due to it being my canine cousin and all. Personality: If I were a toy, I would be a cat’s laser pointer, because I am bouncey and all over the place. I love to run and play. Could Use Some Work On: The Volunteer says I could use some practice on my leash walking ability, but honestly, I don’t think she gets the objective of the game. I pull and lead and the human follows along. Convince me I am wrong. Is this not how it works. What is the problemo? I see none. Cutest Move: My ear perks are on point. Favorite Exercise: Stomach crunches! I want some crunchy stuff in my stomach. I don’t really get how stomach crunches are an exercise, seems like putting crunchy kinds of stuff in your tummy would be the oppawsite of exercise. Doggitude: I love playing with people but could use a little manners with my jumps. I am a little too much for some of the dogs at rescue camp, the losers really. The losers that don’t like fun find me annoying and even pesky. Pesky. Me? I just prefer a playful dog over the serious type. I also tend to start off kinda pushy so that I don’t look like a pushover and not all dogs dig that either. Age/Weight/Breed: I almost forgot the important stats. I am 2 years old and 40 pounds. I was listed at the shelter as a Shepherd/Husky mix, but the volunteers find that questionable and feel I most resemble and act like a Shiba Inu. So I am rolling with that. Do you wanna roll with me? 50 Cent aka Jobie JH My name is 50 Cent, but luckily I don't have 21 questions for you. Just a few questions. Do you have a vehicle? I like ridin' in a vehicle, so I make and ideal traveling companion, I don't mind if it's a hoopty or a Benz. I can fit in any type of car eve a Fiat or Kia Soul, because I am Just a Lil Bit of doggie at 12 pounds and 2 years old, this Chihuahua Terrier body of mine will not grow anymore. I will litterally also be small enough for you to sing Go Shawty, it's your birfday. Despite my rugged good looks and tough boy image, I am a little shy meeting new people, dogs and cats, but once I do, I will be a good buddy to all of them. I like to be held by people, so come give me a hug if you're into getting rubbed. I am playful with other dogs, but prefer my buddies to be lower energy and too off the wall. It's not a night club, calm down guys and take it easy. I did come into the rescue group with Heartworms, but I was recently treated and now I am better and can move in with you. I have been around the block, but I am ready to "love you more than a ... kid loves cake as in the words of my namesake, 50 Cent, 21 Questions circa 2009.

Story
Hi, my name is Twix, I like toys, bones and I have a knack in finding shoes that my foster mom thinks no longer exists. (I’m a great finder). I also like my crate, seems to be a great place to chill. I LOVE children and I really don't bother with cats. I'm a bit shy in public and new places at first but will warm up to any environment with time. I'm low energy and perfect for kids which I could kiss all day long. I'll watch them quietly while they play and pet me. I get my good looking shepherd looks from my momma. She’s quite the looker with her mahogany locks...grrr I’m 10 months old Black and mahogany with a tiny head (like my momma) and big body like my dad. I’m a bit sassy, love playing with my brothers and sisters.🐶💚

Story
Meet Adam TatG (made an amazing comeback from scrawny to svelte, but doesn’t make a great first impression due to awkward initial shyness, he’s like the Kristen Stewart of dogs) Voted Most Likely Too: I clearly win Most Photogenic doggie at all the adoption events, but I sure wish the prize was a family and not just constant applause. Likes: Dog parks, car rides, going on sniffathons, relaxing in bed, cuddles, being your shadow, other dogs, people, supervising your bathroom visits…stealing your food from the table when you turn around (pretend you did not read that last part). A goooood back scritchin and full body massage, but who doesn’t? Age/Weight/Breed: I am a SILLY Billy, but my name is Adam and I am a Dogo Argentino/Pitbull mix. I only weighed 40 pounds when I was picked up from the City of San Antonio shelter, but now I am back up to a hunky chunky 85 pounds. I am somewhere between 4-5 years old. Best Skill: Doing zoomie spinny circles, it is a complicated move, but I am very goodest at it, the best really. Life Tip: When you can’t find a pillow, use another dog’s butt, dog butts are very soft and make great pillows. Favorite Cliché: You know that ole cliché, you cannot judge a book by its cover. I totally agree. To truly judge a book, you need to nibble it, chew on a few pages. When I first got outta the shelter, I was very hungry and chewing on everything, but I have stopped that nonsense, as long as you give me TOYS! Activity Level: I would thrive in a home with a yard for play time, but also a huge couch for my cat naps…er uh, dog naps in my case. I am strong on a leash, but Foster Mom says I am NOT “the worst” she has experienced. Socialability: I am in a Foster Home with other dogs, but did do slow intros. I do great at public places like dog parks, but I become more protective when at home. I am shy at first with people, but if you exchange treats for my love, I will take that trade and then you get to see my goofy ball side. I have been a good boy around kids. So far the only command I know is SIT. I hope you know the command for rubs, because when I roll over to show my belly that means rub it. Big Ask: I am very happy to have my second chance at a home after being dumped and 40 pounds at the city shelter. I want to be a good big boy for you and I will be very loyal and loving. Will you adopt me?

Story
Meet Rocco SM Okay, everyone, I need to get the sad part out of the way. My owner “passed away” and that left me in need of a home. I am not sure what “passed away” means, but I think it is sad, because I don’t see my Dad anymore and that is sad in my heart. My Grandma tried to take over my care, but my energies were too much for a lady that is mature in her age. My Auntie would love to keep me, because she thinks I am the bag of chips plus a piece of bacon, but she already hit her limit with an undisclosed amount of pets at her own residence, you would need two hands to count them! I am the goldie locks of age, weight and color. Just right, at 3 years, 45 pounds and a bambi colored Black Mouth Cur mix. You could even plop a standard “German Shepherd/Lab” mix on my face too, I am just a good lookin moderately sized golden beef muffin stud cake with a chocolate dipped snooter. My fur is like a Lab coat, so I guess I am really into chemistry too. I am kennel trained and can sleep in there at night. When I am not sleeping hang on to your britches, because we are gonna do some fun. I jump higher than Jordan and my tug game is very ropey. If I were a gas, I would be high octane, the gas to drive cars, not the gas that comes from scarfing your food too fast. I pull on the leash while walking, but I am working on that with a gentle leader device that helps guide my muzzle, kinda like a horse leash if you really think about it. Me and cats are not in cahoots. I look for them when I go on walks, so I can give them the evil eye. They think they invented glares, cats, they think they invented the world. *rolls eyes* I am very affectionate and listen to commands from humans. Since I am high energy, I am refurmended to a home without small kids, so I don’t get into trouble in case I knock them down. But I could prob learn to not jump so hard on kids, because I am eager to please and my smarts are as big as my handsomes. The entire enchilada right here. I am currently learning STAY and working on my urge to jump up on people. Appawrently, a SIT will get rubs faster than an jump, who knew! My owner’s family wants very much for me to find a new home. I am available out of state, but if adopted locally, my family wants to hook you up with a brilliant trainer so you can continue to work on my commands. They might even help with training costs to sweeten the pot if you live out of state. That is to be discussed. They just want me to find a good caring home, since my owner is passed away.
